Background: The physical and mental health of primary and secondary school teachers is related to the realization of the national education plan.Caring for the physical and mental health of teachers is a key boost to the promotion of adolescent physical health, and it is also an important starting point for comprehensively promoting the construction of "Healthy China".How sports non-medical means can achieve "health threshold forward" at the front end of the disease will become the important task of the era for sports and health workers in the new era. Objective: To investigate the lifestyle of primary and secondary school teachers in Yunnan Province, explore the relationship between them and body composition and bone density, and provide data reference for the formulation of teachers’ physical health promotion plan. Methods: The lifestyle of 525 primary and secondary school teachers(315 males and210 females)from 16 prefectures and cities in Yunnan Province was investigated. The body composition and bone mineral density were detected by Korean X-scan plus bioelectrical impedance analyzer and American GE Achilles Express ultrasonic bone densitometer.Variance analysis and t test were used for difference analysis.Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation between lifestyle and body composition and bone mineral density.Linear regression analysis was used to analyze the relationship between lifestyle and body composition and bone mineral density.Results:(1)The average lifestyle score of primary and secondary school teachers in Yunnan Province was 169.80±22.09 points, and 39% of them had an average score below.Lifestyle varies significantly by gender, age group, and work and school segment. There were significant differences in body composition in terms of gender, age group, place of work, marital status, education level, work period, and class attendance. There were significant differences in bone mineral density by gender, age group, educational level, work period, and class attendance.(2)The detection rate of overweight and obesity among primary and secondary school teachers in Yunnan Province was 35.81%,which was higher for males than for females(P<0.01).There were significant differences in lifestyle between the normal-weight group and the hyper-recombinant and obese groups. There were significant differences between the body composition indexes of the obese group and the low body weight group, normal group and hyperrecombination. There were significant differences in bone mineral density between the low body weight group and the normal, hyperrecombinant, and obese groups. The detection rate of bone loss was 8.38%,and the detection rate of osteoporosis was 1.14%,which was higher in men than in women(p<0.01).There were significant differences between the body composition indexes of the osteoporosis group and the normal bone density group and the bone loss group.(3)Pearson’s correlation analysis showed that lifestyle was significantly negatively correlated with body weight, defatted body mass, body mass index,waist-hip ratio, visceral fat(p<0.01),body fat mass(p<0.05),and body fat percentage(p<0.05).Lifestyle was positively correlated with bone strength,T-value,and Z-score(p<0.01).Bone mineral density T-value was significantly negatively correlated with body weight, defatted body mass, body mass index,waist-hip ratio, and visceral fat(p<0.01)and body fat mass(p<0.05).(4)Linear regression analysis showed that gender(B=13.206)had a significant positive effect on lifestyle, and age(B=-10.596)and work school territory(B=-3.348)had a negative impact on lifestyle. The use of drugs, tobacco and alcohol(B=-0.150)and bone mineral density T-value(B=-0.287)had significant negative effects on body mass index.Exercise habits(B=0.110),eating habits(B=0.039),drug and alcohol use habits(B=0.104),work and sleep(B=0.053)had significant positive effects on bone mineral density T-value.Body mass index(B=0.067)had a positive effect on bone mineral density T-value,and waist-hip ratio(B=-8.210)had a significant negative effect on bone mineral density T-value.Conclusion :(1)Primary and secondary school teachers in Yunnan Province have a large proportion of lifestyle below the average score, and the detection rate of overweight, obesity and bone loss is high, especially for male teachers. There are significant differences in body fat index and bone mineral density index among teachers of different gender, marital status, educational background, working area and working period.(2)There is a correlation between lifestyle and body composition and bone mineral density.Exercise habits, eating habits, drug and tobacco and alcohol use habits, work and sleep habits can promote the body fat management of teachers.Excessive weight,waist-to-hip ratio and body mass index are not conducive to the maintenance of bone health.(3)Gender is a significant factor affecting the lifestyle of primary and secondary school teachers in Yunnan Province.Drugs and tobacco and alcohol use habits are significant factors affecting body mass index.Waist-to-hip ratio and exercise habits are significant factors affecting bone mineral density T-value.It is suggested that teachers with overweight, obesity and bone mineral density loss should increase physical exercise, reduce the intake of high-fat diet, quit smoking and drinking, pay attention to the combination of work and rest, reduce abdominal fat accumulation, control excessive weight gain, and improve the health level of bone mineral density.
