| Under the policy background of the Strong Teacher Plan for the New Era,the state aims to develop a high-quality,professional and innovative teaching force for the new era.The state is concentrating on the development of master’s-level primary and secondary school teachers and education leaders,of which Master of Education(Ed.M)is an important group.The cultivation of Ed.M in China has produced some results with the backing of national policy and practical university investigation.However,preliminary literature analysis and current situation investigation reveal that there are still problems with the current Ed.M cultivation process,such as uneven overall professional foundation,challenges in fully adapting cultivation methods to professional demands,insufficient integration of professional class courses with practice,and a lack of depth in practical teaching.The above problems will affect the development of professional literacy of Ed.M,which in this study is referred to as " teachers’ professional literacy." And it is a mix of knowledge,skills,and traits.Project-based learning theoretically supports the developing of literacy in terms of the necessary conditions,and as a result,it provides the possibility for the development of professional literacy of Ed.M.Based on this,how to carry out the design of project-based learning for teachers’ professional literacy development model of Ed.M in actual teaching,and how to verify the effectiveness of the model are the two questions of this study.In terms of theory,this study firstly uses the literature research method to organize and analyze the studies related to Master of Education,teacher professionalism and project-based learning in the way of keyword co-occurrence.It then summarizes the theoretical and practical experiences and methods related to the cultivation of Ed.M,and teachers’ professional literacy at home and abroad,and it clarifies and summarizes the connotation,elements and processes of project-based learning.On the basis of clarifying the relationship between project-based learning and literacy and teachers’ professional literacy,and having the comprehensive analysis of the training objectives,curriculum system,and group characteristics of the Ed.M.The model framework for the development of teachers’ professional literacy of Ed.M based on project-based learning is initially constructed from the perspective of teaching model with the basic elements of theoretical foundation,target orientation,operation procedure,realization conditions and effect evaluation.In terms of practice,this study has developed a corresponding implementation process based on the model framework,and adopted the method of Design-based research to apply the constructed model framework to the cultivation of Ed.M in Modern Educational Technology as an example.The main practice field was the course "Teaching Design and Implementation of Information Technology Course" of Modern Educational Technology in X University,and two iterations of research were carried out in this course,taking the design,implementation and evaluation of project-based learning as the basic stages of carrying out teaching practice.During the two iterations,the survey research method of questionnaires and interviews was used to collect and organize data to identify problems in a timely manner,and the model framework was revised twice.Finally,the refined model framework was applied again in the course "Microgrid Teaching" of the program to further verify its feasibility.The survey research method and content analysis method were used to analyze the project learning works,questionnaires,and interview contents collected during the study in a combination of quantitative and qualitative ways.The results of the study showed that by applying the model framework constructed and improved in this study,Ed.M was developed to different degrees in the dimensions of belief,emotion,professional knowledge,and professional competence,thus confirming the effectiveness of the model framework in this study in promoting the teachers’ professional literacy of Ed.M.This study finally formed a refined model framework for the development of teachers’ professional literacy of Ed.M based on project-based learning,summarized the corresponding implementation process and design essentials,which have some reference significance for the application of project-based learning to Ed.M training and the promotion of Ed.M professional literacy development. |
