With the advent of the era of big data,the role and value of data are highlighted in social production,life,learning and other fields.The collection,analysis and utilization of data have become an important ability of people in the data age.With the proliferation of data and the improvement of data value in the education field,data literacy will become a core competence of teachers.Therefore,it is great practical significance to research how to cultivate and improve the teachers' data literacy in the current data era.This study used varieties of methods such as literature analysis,experimental research and questionnaire survey to analyze the connotation and formation conditions of normal university students' data literacy,and discussed the suitability of project-based learning with data literacy cultivation of normal university students.On this basis,this study designed the general process and specific cases of cultivating normal university students' data literacy by project-based learning,and tested the effectiveness of designing and implementing project-based learning activities to cultivate data literacy of normal university students through experiments.Data literacy of normal university students is a comprehensive ability to make better use of data to carry out educational activities in the future teachers' career.It includes four elements: data awareness attitude,data basic knowledge,data core application ability and data thinking method.The formation of data literacy of normal university students needs the support of three conditions,namely,perfect data knowledge system,guidance of problems in real situations and the play of autonomyof normal university students.Project-based learning is characterized by comprehensiveness,contextuality and diversity of evaluation.It is unique and relevant in cultivating data literacy of normal university students.The design of project-based learning activities focusing on the cultivation of normal university students' data literacy should follow six principles: project modularization,project learning theme pertinence,project learning content comprehensiveness,project learning process progressiveness,project learning subject autonomy and project learning evaluation comprehensiveness.In accordance with the "project","project implementation","project results show and evaluation" three stages of design data for the cultivation of students literacy project learning activities of general process,and through the "use data to understand students","let the data speak" the practice of the specific project cases prove that:(1)the project learning is an effective way to cultivate students' data quality,and the formation of the data quality has intrinsic relevance.(2)project modularization.,The process and method of "activity theme,activity objective,activity process and method,resource environment and evaluation" as the design content of each project is reasonable and effective,it can cultivate the data literacy of normal university students.
