With the advancement of the new curriculum reform in high school, the important task of cultivating core literacy in history is further clarified, and the content of the unified version of high school textbooks is more diversified and systematic, guiding a shift in teaching direction. The General High School History Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition Revised 2020)places higher demands on history teachers and emphasizes the integration of teaching content.Teachers need to continuously explore in their teaching, improve their research awareness, focus on the coherence of teaching contents, and help students construct a historical knowledge system. The optional compulsory courses play a role in the unified version of the curriculum, expanding the knowledge points of the compulsory courses so as to carry out in-depth teaching. The integration of the teaching contents of the selective compulsory courses is an inevitable choice to improve the overall teaching quality and cultivate students’ subject core literacy. With the integration of teaching contents as the research theme and the unified version of the optional compulsory curriculum as an example, the key point falls on the method of integrating teaching contents.Relevant theories of psychology and education are used as the basis of the study to analyze the feasibility and necessity of teaching content integration. The results of the survey and interviews on the integration of teaching contents in three high schools in different regions of G province show that history teachers need to get out of the dilemma of understanding the teaching materials and the lack of clarity of integration goals in the process of integrating teaching contents. In order to further illustrate the strategy of content integration,we take Lesson 8 of the optional Compulsory 1 course,"The Rule of Law and Correction in Ancient China",as an example, and focus on the logic of content integration and refine the main idea of teaching according to the requirements of the curriculum standards. In the actual teaching design, the course is closely linked to the "Outline of Chinese and Foreign History"(above)and makes full use of teaching resources. As a whole,we meet the requirements of the curriculum standards, update teachers’ teaching concepts, put the integration of teaching contents into practice, and promote the common progress of teachers and students.
