In recent years,the state and society have attached great importance to the inheritance and promotion of Chinese civilization,while actively advocating the use of digital technology to support Chinese civilization education and promote the effect of Chinese civilization education.2022 Opinions on Promoting the Implementation of the National Culture Digitalization Strategy issued by the General Office of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council,point out that we should rely on digital technology to build virtual cultural experience museums,presenting through a virtual panoramic view of Chinese culture,so that students can learn Chinese cultural knowledge and feel the spirit of Chinese civilization in the virtual museums.The introduction of virtual museums into Chinese civilization education can help solve the problems of single teaching method,single way of knowledge presentation and dissemination,and lack of practical teaching in the current Chinese civilization education,thus effectively promoting the effect of Chinese civilization education.Therefore,how to explore the use of virtual museums created by digital technology to carry out Chinese civilization education in the context of the new era is of positive significance in enhancing students’ learning experience,promoting the effect of Chinese civilization education,cultivating students’ cultural confidence,and developing their cultural literacy.Based on the current situation and problems of Chinese civilization education practice,this study attempts to introduce virtual museums into Chinese civilization education,while combining virtual museum learning models to guide the teaching practice process and promote students’ learning effectiveness.Firstly,by sorting out and analyzing typical museum learning models and digital museum learning models,and by considering the elements of both museum learning and digital museum learning,we extract and determine the elements of virtual museum learning models from the theoretical level,combine the characteristics of virtual museum teaching,design virtual museum learning models,and use them as the basis for guiding the practice of Chinese civilization education based on virtual museums.Secondly,based on the development purpose and principles of virtual museums,virtual museum resources applicable to Chinese civilization education are developed on the basis of the type selection,content selection and functional design of virtual museums.Finally,the effect of virtual museums in Chinese civilization education is explored through teaching practice.This study designed and implemented three teaching practice projects,obtained research data through student interviews,classroom observations and questionnaires,examined learners’ recognition of virtual museum resources and virtual museum learning models,and judged the effectiveness of the application of virtual museums in Chinese civilization education.The following conclusions are drawn: first,the virtual museum learning model can effectively guide the process of Chinese civilization education based on virtual museums;second,virtual museum resources can effectively support the practice of Chinese civilization education;third,the innovative application of virtual museums in Chinese civilization education can help enhance the learning experience of learners and promote their learning effectiveness.Since the identification of the effectiveness of the application of virtual museums in Chinese civilization education is a long-term task,it is hoped that more specific and in-depth research will be conducted in the future when conditions are available.
