Purpose: In recent years, with the rapid development of the economy, the national living standards and quality of life have gradually improved. However, the physical fitness of teenagers has decreased, with less physical exercise and a less optimistic physical condition. How to promote young students to actively participate in sports and improve their physical and mental health, while scientifically and effectively controlling sports risks, has become a focus of attention in society and research fields.Method: In response to the above situation, this article takes relevant research on exercise risk cognition and exercise participation as the theoretical basis, and uses questionnaire survey method to study the risk cognition and exercise participation of adolescents in Shandong Province.Using a combination of subjective and random sampling methods,a survey was conducted on a total of 1020 students from 5 middle schools in 4 cities in Shandong Province. The study compared and analyzed the sports risk perception and participation of adolescents in the four cities, explored influencing factors, and proposed solutions to improve their sports enthusiasm. Results: 1.Teenagers in Shandong Province believe that outdoor sports events have the highest severity of risk consequences and the least controllability;Yoga and other projects have the least severe risk consequences, but the greatest controllability. In terms of knowing the risks of sports events, teenagers attach the most importance to their physical condition.(1)There is a significant gap in the severity and controllability of risk consequences among the four cities of Tai’an,Qingdao,Jinan, and Dezhou;(2)There is consistency in the perception of the severity of risk consequences among urban and rural adolescents, but there is a significant difference in controllability;(3)There are significant differences in the severity of risk consequences among adolescents of different genders, while there is consistency in controllability;(4)There are significant differences in the severity and controllability of risk consequences among adolescents of different age groups.2.The frequency of extracurricular sports activities among teenagers in Shandong Province is relatively low,but the duration and degree of participation are relatively ideal; The development of physical education courses basically meets national requirements; The number of sports injuries and hospitalizations is relatively low.(1)Youth in Qingdao have the highest participation and intensity in physical activities both in and out of class;(2)There are significant differences in the amount and intensity of physical activity participation among adolescents of different places of residence and genders;(3)There is consistency in the participation and intensity of extracurricular sports activities among adolescents of different age groups, but there are significant differences in the participation and intensity of physical education classes.3.Among the influencing factors of youth sports participation in Shandong Province, campus culture plays the largest role, while society has the smallest impact.(1)Attribution and self-efficacy,as well as campus cultural factors, have the greatest impact on Qingdao’s youth;Family and social cultural factors have the greatest impact on the youth in Jinan.(2)The influence of attribution,self-efficacy,and campus culture on urban and rural adolescents is consistent, but the influence of family culture and social culture varies.(3)Adolescents of different genders are consistently influenced by attribution and self-efficacy,family sports culture, and socio-cultural factors, with only significant differences in campus cultural factors.(4)The influence of attribution, selfefficacy, and family sports culture on adolescents of different age groups is consistent, but there are significant differences in the impact of campus culture and social cultural factors. Conclusion: In summary, the following conclusions can be drawn: the awareness of sports risk among adolescents in Shandong Province is uneven, and the overall participation in sports is not optimistic;Adolescents from different cities, places of residence, genders, and academic stages have their own characteristics in terms of exercise risk cognition, exercise participation, and influencing factors.
