After Tokyo Olympic Games, rock climbing will continue to appear in Paris Olympic Games. After appearing in Olympic Games for successive two times, rock climbing has aroused great concern in society.Rock climbing started later in China and shows disadvantages of preferring certain subjects and being weak in strength. In rock climbing, players always transfer between dynamic and static balance using an abnormal posture, which has high requirements for players dynamic and static ability. The core is the link between upper and lower limbs and is the muscle group keeping body balance. Therefore, this study starts from the core strength to explore the effect of core strength training on the balance ability and climbing performance of college rock climbers. With document, experiment, mathematical statistics and other methods, this paper takes 20 members of rock climbing team from Guangzhou Sport University as experimental object and takes the influence of core strength training on balance ability of college rock climbing players as research object. The main content of the experimental group is core strength training, and the main content of the control group is traditional strength training.A 10-week randomized controlled experiment is done(3 classes/week).Finally,experimental data is imported into statistical analysis software jamovi The significant difference between the experimental group and the control group is analyzed through independent-samples t test and paired-samples t test. After 10 weeks of intervention controlled experiment, the results are obtained as follows:(1)Balance ability indicator: The experimental group had significantly greater gains than the control group in standing on one foot with eyes closed,eight-point star shift to the right,one-leg stability test in steady state,LOS test in unstable state, and postural stability test(P<0.05).Combined with the comparison of the effect size of the experimental group and the control group,it was proved that the dynamic and static balance ability of the experimental group was better than that of the control group.(2)Core strength indicator: the experimental group has greater gains in level-6back arch,level-5 side bridge, throwing balls from a kneeling position and back muscle endurance than the control group, showing a significant difference(P<0.05),but there is no significant difference for the gains in level-8 ventral bridge, throwing balls from a supine position and abdominal muscle endurance.Through comparing the effect size of the experimental group and the control group, this paper proves that the experimental group does a better job in improvement of level-8 ventral bridge, throwing balls from a supine position and abdominal muscle endurance than the control group.(3)Rock climbing performance indicator: the experimental group has greater gains in rock climbing performance than the control group, showing a significant difference(P<0.05).Through above analysis, the following conclusions are reached:(1)Both core strength training and traditional strength training are beneficial to improve the balance ability of rock climbers. However, the gains of core strength training in improving the dynamic and static balance ability of athletes are greater than those of traditional strength training.(2)Core strength training covers both the surface and deep core muscles. The improvement of core stability, core endurance and core explosive power in the experimental group is better than that in the control group, which indicates that core strength training is better than traditional strength training, and there is a significant difference.(3)Both core strength training and traditional strength training are beneficial to improve climbing performance, and the gains of core strength training on improving climbing performance are greater than those of traditional strength training, and the difference is significant.
