Research On The Impact Of Intellectual Property Protection On The High-quality Development Of China’s Economy

Under the background that our country economy changes from high speed growth stage to high quality development stage,how to realize high quality economic development has become a hot issue at present.Although China has made some progress in intellectual property protection in recent years,there is still a big gap between China and developed countries.In order to seize the high point of future development,regions can promote high-quality development of their economies by strengthening intellectual property protection.In view of this,studying the impact of intellectual property protection on China’s high-quality economic development,as well as the spatial role of intellectual property protection and intellectual property demonstration city policy on China’s high-quality economic development,is of great significance to promote the coordinated development of intellectual property protection intensity and economic development level in various regions,promote the overall level of highquality economic development in China,and achieve sustained,healthy and stable economic development.Based on the relevant theories,this thesis first clarifies the mechanism of the impact of intellectual property protection on the quality development of China’s economy.Secondly,the intensity of intellectual property protection is measured by reference to the dominant comparative advantage index,and spatial distribution patterns of intellectual property protection intensity in Chinese cities in 2011 and 2020 are analyzed by GIS spatial statistical analysis.At the same time,from five dimensions of innovation,coordination,openness,sustainability and sharing,this paper constructs an economic quality development index system,measures the economic quality development level of 282 prefecture-level cities from 2011 to2020,and analyzes their convergence.Then,by constructing a linear regression model,the direct impact of intellectual property protection on China’s high-quality economic development is explored,and the robustness test is carried out by substitution variables,exogenous impact test,endogenous problem treatment and other methods,and the specific analysis is carried out in terms of regional heterogeneity and city scale heterogeneity,and the mechanism of intellectual property protection on China’s high-quality economic development is further analyzed.Finally,the spatial lag model is used to explore the spatial spillover effects of intellectual property protection and intellectual property demonstration city policies on China’s high-quality economic development.It is found that:(1)China’s intellectual property protection intensity as a whole shows the trend of "East high and West low",the intensity of IP protection is low in most regions;The overall quality of China’s economic development shows an upward trend,but there is a great difference between cities.(2)Linear model regression shows that intellectual property protection has a significant direct effect on the quality development of China’s economy,and the dynamism of urban entrepreneurship plays some intermediary role in promoting the quality development of China’s economy.(3)In terms of regional and urban scale heterogeneity,intellectual property protection has a significant role in promoting the high-quality economic development of central and western regions,medium-sized cities and type(40)(40)large cities.(4)Based on the perspective of "neighborhood-local" effect,it is found that after considering spatial factors,intellectual property protection and intellectual property demonstration city policy still have a significant positive impact on China’s high-quality economic development,and IP protection has more positive space spillover effects on the quality development of neighboring economy than directly promotes the quality development of local economy.According to the conclusion of the study,China should accelerate the process of high-quality economic development driven by intellectual property protection by adhering to the strategy of strong intellectual property rights countries,implementing the strategic initiative of mass entrepreneurship,implementing the policy of differentiated intellectual property protection and promoting the construction of model cities for intellectual property rights.
