During the period of economic transition,the quality of foreign trade development in China still lags behind that in developed countries,and the imbalance of trade development of high-tech value-added products remains prominent.Although China has become a big trading country,the realization of a strong trading country is a heavy task,and there is a big gap between China and the developed countries in terms of the quality and level of development.It is imperative to enhance the technical complexity of China's trade.This research focuses on the main line of "effect analysis of technological innovation and intellectual property protection on trade technology structure".Firstly,the research background,research significance,research review,main research contents and methods are described.Secondly,the paper theoretically analyzes the impact of technological innovation on trade technology structure and intellectual property protection on trade technology structure.Then the index system method,stochastic frontier production function(SFA)method and foreign trade technology complexity are used to measure and analyze the level of intellectual property protection,technology innovation efficiency and trade structure.PSTR model is built to analyse threshold effect of the intellectual property protection level in technological innovation efficiency affecting the trade technical structure,intellectual property protection and the spatial correlation of foreign trade and technological complexity.The research analyzes the spatial interaction effect of technological innovation efficiency and intellectual property protection level on trade technology structure by constructing Space Dubin Model(SDM)Finally,according to the research conclusions,the corresponding targeted,forward-looking countermeasures and suggestions are given.Lots of results are found.The level of intellectual property protection,the efficiency of technological innovation and the technological complexity of foreign trade in China are seriously unbalanced and inadequate.The level of intellectual property protection is significantly positively correlated with the level of economic development,but the efficiency of technological innovation is not.High economic development does not necessarily have high technological innovation efficiency.The export trade of manufacturing industry with high technological content is of high technical complexity.The impact of geographical location advantage on export trade is gradually weakened,and innovation advantage has a great impact on export trade.The final results of PSTR model show that the efficiency of technological innovation has a positive effect on the optimization of trade structure under the low level of institutional intellectual property protection.Under the high level of intellectual property protection,the efficiency of technological innovation has a negative impact on the trade structure.The spatial dependence test shows that technological innovation,level of intellectual property protection and technological complexity of foreign trade have spatial agglomeration effect.SDM model shows that both the efficiency of technological innovation and the level of intellectual property protection have positive spillover effect,the spillover effect of technological innovation is greater than the level of intellectual property protection,and the spatial indirect effect is the main way that intellectual property protection affects the technical complexity of foreign trade.According to the empirical evidence,some countermeasures and suggestions are puts forward to optimize the trade structure: developing IP intensive industries and optimize the industrial structure;improving the level of core science and technology;promoting industrial upgrading;strengthening protection of intellectual property rights to build a strong intellectual property country.
