Feynman Learning Method In College Rock Climbing Teaching Application Research

With rock climbing officially becoming the event of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games,China’s leisure sports industry has entered the stage of high-quality development from the stage of rapid growth,and the number of people participating in rock climbing in China is increasing.Since the mountaineering association launched the "rock climbing into campus" plan,more and more schools have offered rock climbing courses.However,according to relevant research,rock climbing teachers are very rare.As an important base for the training of sports talents,it is urgent to reform the teaching methods to train high-quality rock climbing talents.The traditional "indoctrination" teaching has the problems of low students’ interest in learning and low teaching efficiency.Feynman learning method is an efficient learning method.Its core step is that students can find out and fill in the gaps of the knowledge they have learned,simplify and refine,and have a deep understanding through the way of "teaching instead of learning".Therefore,this study applies Feynman learning method to rock climbing teaching in colleges and universities to find efficient teaching methods for rock climbing teaching in colleges and universities.This study focuses on the application of Feynman learning method in rock climbing teaching in universities,and takes students from the 2021 rock climbing elective course at the Graduate School of Guangzhou Institute of Physical Education as the experimental subjects for an 18 week teaching experiment.It mainly adopts many research methods,such as literature review,teaching experiment,questionnaire survey,expert interview,mathematical statistics and so on.Two classes are randomly selected and divided into the experimental class and the control class.The experimental class uses the Feynman learning method for teaching,and the control class uses the conventional teaching method for teaching.Through the comparative analysis of the physical quality,course performance,climbing learning interest and general self-efficacy of the students in the two classes before and after the experiment,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)The application of Feynman learning method in rock climbing teaching,except for 6m double staircase climbing and finger suspension,does not improve physical fitness better than traditional teaching methods.(2)The application of Feynman learning method in rock climbing teaching is superior to traditional teaching methods in improving students’ course performance,especially in improving upper protection scores,knot scores,protection station setting and decline scores,and theoretical scores.(3)The application of Feynman learning method in rock climbing teaching is superior to traditional teaching methods in enhancing students’ interest in rock climbing learning.(4)The application of Feynman learning method in rock climbing teaching is superior to traditional teaching methods in improving students’ general self-efficacy.
