The training of reserve talents for competitive sports is related to the comprehensive,coordinated and sustainable development of sports cause,and has been attached great importance by the General Administration of Sport of the State.The Medium and Long Term Plan for the Training of Reserve Talents for Competitive Sports of Olympic Events(2014-2024)emphasizes the importance of building and laying a good foundation for the talent echelon of key age groups in swimming events.The concept of scientific training and continuous innovation should be adhered to.The contribution rate of upper body strength to swimming performance is relatively large,but the muscles,ligaments,bone and connective tissue of children aged 8-10 years old are not mature,so it is particularly important to choose targeted training methods.Suspension training is a training method that overcomes one’s own weight and uses the suspension rope as a tool to suspend a certain part of the body so that the body can train in an unstable state.It conforms to the physical development law of athletes in the 8-10 year old children group.Through a comparative study of TRX suspension upper body training and traditional upper body strength training,this paper explores effective training methods to improve the upper body strength of swimmers in children aged 8-10 years old,providing reference for athletes and coaches.This paper adopted the method of literature,expert interview,Delphi method,experimental research method and mathematical statistics.A total of 30 swimmers aged 8-10 years old were selected as experimental objects and randomly divided into two groups.The experimental group adopted TRX suspension training method and the control group adopted traditional training method.Through comparative research and analysis,the following results are obtained:(1)In the influence of upper body strength quality: after the experiment,the two groups of athletes in the sitting posture of hands and chest throwing ball and 1minute kneeling posture push-up test scores were improved,but the improvement of the experimental group compared with the control group showed a significant difference(p < 0.01);The upper limb stability and left and right hand grip strength in the control group had no significant changes,but the experimental group had a very significant improvement(p < 0.01).(2)In terms of stroke effect: after the experiment,stroke frequency and stroke width of 50-meter freestyle of athletes in the two groups were not significantly improved in the control group(p > 0.05),but in the experimental group were significantly improved(p < 0.01),and the improvement of the experimental group was higher than the control group(p < 0.05).(3)In terms of the influence of swimming performance: after the experiment,the 50-meter freestyle and 50-meter freestyle leggings paddler test scores of the two groups of athletes were improved,and then the improvement range difference was analyzed.The improvement range of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group(p < 0.01);(4)In the freestyle arm technology influence: after the experiment,the freestyle arm entry Angle of the two groups of athletes,the control group was not significantly improved(p > 0.05),the experimental group was significantly improved(p < 0.01),the improvement of the experimental group compared with the control group showed a very significant difference(p < 0.01).Findings are as follows:(1)TRX suspension upper body training is helpful to improve the upper body strength of swimmers aged 8-10 years old.(2)TRX suspension upper limb training can effectively improve the stroke effect of the 8-10 year old group of swimmers,and promote the performance of 50 m freestyle.(3)The improvement of upper body strength of children swimmers is helpful to improve the freestyle arm technique.
