| At present,cancer has become an important factor threatening the life of the elderly group,the elderly are often secretive about cancer,they dare not face the threat of cancer,more can not accept the fact that they suffer from cancer.This ambivalence is particularly obvious in elderly cancer patients,they not only face the physical torture,also the psychological suffering,and cancer patients after long-term treatment,its negative emotions also increased,light can produce anxiety,or fear of death will result in elderly cancer patients.Based on this,in order to help elderly cancer patients alleviate their mental problems and reunderstand the meaning of life,this study takes the spiritual care of elderly cancer patients as the theme,and explores the solutions to the above problems for elderly cancer patients from the perspective of social work.In this study to mental care,elderly patients with cancer and analysis on the basis of related literature in the field of social work,using interviews,participatory observation to the service object to data collection,analysis of the problems existing in the spiritual care service object,and with the model of psychosocial treatment,guided by the case work professional intervention skills,to involvement of the service object,to investigate the demand of spiritual care in elderly patients with advanced cancer,put forward solutions accordingly.The case serves an elderly Z,a breast cancer patient from Y community in Nanjing,who was contacted by the researcher during her internship.In the early stage,through contact with the elderly,we established a professional relationship of mutual trust and jointly formulated a three-month service plan for her.Researchers in with the old man,community workers,the attending physician’s interview,the old man got the Z at present physical condition,prevalence,and the basic situation of the family,the plight of the spiritual elders were clear about the Z from multiple aspects,individual physical suffering pain,lead to emotional instability,easy to fall into negative emotions,full of fear and powerlessness when facing death,life and family relationships are more alienated,inner loneliness,is not willing to participate in any social activities,like to put their closed up.In the theory of social support,life review under the guidance of the theory and the theory of cognitive behavior,using the method of case work targeted and purpose to provide services to old man Z,to alleviate the tense of treating anxiety,overcome the fear of death,eliminate the inferiority mentality,establish a warm family with family relations,increase the ability of social communication.After intervention,the researchers use of direct and indirect way of treatment,help the service object to solve the problems existing in the spirit of caring,to old man Z were evaluated by means of the talks,the assessment result shows that the old problems have been effectively improved,Z negative negative emotions get ease,be able to face their own positive condition,set up the belief and the correct view of the life,and family relations also further ease,and no longer willing to take the initiative to interact with others,to establish certain social support network.Through this study,the researchers think the intervention of mental care for the elderly cancer patients,should help patients to establish positive life belief and strong external support,and to consider various factors,as well as helping patients to understand their problems,also want to help patients to get rid of the emotional distress,achieve the goal of spiritual care. |
