| Information technology continues to innovate education,and virtual experiments play an important role in experimental teaching in universities with their advantages of simulation,interactivity,and immersion.At this stage,learning supported by virtual reality technology is still evolving.For college students,there are also varying degrees of learning adaptability issues,which not only affect the effectiveness of virtual experiments,but also affect the quality of learners’ experimental learning.Based on this,this study focuses on the virtual experimental platform in universities,and takes college students as the research object.It conducts an empirical study on the factors affecting college students’ learning adaptability in the virtual experimental environment,aiming to explore which factors have an impact on college students’ learning adaptability,and propose strategies to improve the learning adaptability in the virtual experimental environment.This study first reviewed the research results related to learning adaptability and virtual experiments,combined with the characteristics and connotation of virtual experiments,and determined that the measurement indicators of learning adaptability in virtual experimental environments are composed of three aspects: learning ability adaptation,learning attitude adaptation,and learning behavior adaptation.Secondly,on the basis of retrospective analysis of relevant factors affecting learning adaptability,through communication and discussion with experts,and guided by distributed cognitive theory and constructivist learning theory,it is determined that the factors affecting learning adaptability in a virtual experimental environment include learners,platform services,and teachers.Among them,the learner aspect includes performance goals,mastery goals,information literacy,self-efficacy,and self-regulation;Platform services include simulation,interactivity,reliability,and content effectiveness;Teachers mainly refer to teacher support.Based on this,corresponding research hypotheses were proposed and a theoretical model of the factors affecting learning adaptability in a virtual experimental environment was initially established,followed by the preparation of a scale of factors affecting learning adaptability.Finally,an empirical study was conducted on 414 college students from Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in Jiangsu Province to explore the relationship between various influencing factors and learning adaptability.The results showed that:(1)in the virtual experiment environment,the average total score of college students’ learning adaptability M=3.893,the overall level was at the medium level.The overall level of male students’ learning adaptability was higher than that of female students,and there was a significant difference at the level of 0.05.(2)In the virtual experiment environment,the mastery goal had a significant positive effect on the learning adaptability as a whole,and had an indirect effect on the learning adaptability through self-regulation(the total influence coefficient was 0.420).The achievement goal has no effect on learning adaptability as a whole,but has significant effect on learning attitude adaptation and learning behavior adaptation.(3)In the virtual experiment environment,self-efficacy had a significant positive effect on learning adaptability,and it also had an indirect effect on learning adaptability through self-regulation(total influence coefficient was 0.615).(4)In the virtual experiment environment,information literacy had a significant positive influence on learning adaptability(total influence coefficient was 0.760);(5)Virtual experiment platform service has a significant positive impact on learning adaptability,and can also indirectly influence learning adaptability through self-regulation(total influence coefficient is 0.795).(6)In the virtual experiment environment,teacher support had no significant effect on the overall learning adaptability,but had a significant effect on the learning ability adaptability.According to the learning adaptability of the above virtual experiment platform for college students,this research puts forward some strategies to improve the learning adaptability:(1)improving self regulation and information literacy at the individual level,stimulating learners’ internal motivation to use virtual experimental platforms for learning;(2)Improve support services at the level of virtual experiment platform,and externally strengthen the learning adaptability of learners’ virtual experiment platform;(3)Actively adapt and personalize teaching interventions at the teacher level to provide strong teacher support behavior. |
