The rapid development of tourism industry and its increasing position in the social and economic development have increased the demand for tourism specialists, and the requirements for their abilities and qualities have become higher and higher. In this context, tourism professionals can only effectively improve their comprehensive ability and quality if they have strong blended learning ability, and then better adapt to the needs of the tourism industry and the development of the times. In terms of the actual situation of tourism professionals, although the blended learning adaptability of tourism professionals has been greatly improved after years of their own efforts and school training and education, there is still a certain distance between them and the requirements of the information technology era and the real needs of the tourism market. Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to study and explore the blended learning adaptability and its influencing factors of undergraduate tourism management students in the context of information technology application, which not only helps to deepen and expand the theoretical study of blended learning, but also helps to enhance the blended learning ability of students and its effect, and then improve the cultivation quality of undergraduate tourism management students. In terms of theoretical analysis, this thesis focuses on the basic theoretical content of blended learning adaptability based on the analysis of relevant domestic and international literature on blended learning and its adaptability,as well as constructivist learning theory and social learning theory. This thesis argues that blended learning adaptability is an organic combination of blended learning and learning adaptability.Blended learning refers to the rational use of information technology learning tools to achieve an integrated approach to learning resources, learning content, learning activities and learning strategies;while learning adaptability is a self-regulation of students’ psychological and behavioral learning states in order to coordinate with the external learning environment generated by information technology and their own learning needs. Therefore, blended learning adaptability is the basic adaptive ability to adjust one’s internal psychology and external behavior to maintain learning efficiency in the blended learning environment of information technology applications.Blended learning adaptability has the characteristics of environmental interaction,psychological-behavioral adaptation, student subjectivity, and optimization and enhancement, which have important roles and values for improving students’ learning effectiveness and quality. For the empirical analysis, first, based on interviews with undergraduate tourism management students, the dimensions of blended learning adaptability and its influencing factors are explored in conjunction with rooting theory. The main dimensions of blended learning adaptability are learning attitude,self-directed learning ability, learning interaction, learning environment and physical and mental health;specific influencing factors include learning motivation, learning self-efficacy,information technology application ability, teacher support and resource platform.Second, drawing on the existing scales,a blended learning adaptation and its influencing factors scale for undergraduate tourism management students under the application of information technology was developed and measured through item analysis and exploratory factor analysis. The results found that the overall level of blended learning adaptability of tourism management undergraduate students was moderate, and the mean values of the five dimensions in descending order were: learning environment >learning attitude > physical and mental health > independent learning ability > learning interaction. The level of students’ learning adaptability and its dimensions differed to some extent in terms of individual variables such as gender, grade level, frequency of using IT learning tools, and academic performance.Third, this study used structural equation modeling to clarify the relationships among the influencing factors and the effect of each factor on learning adaptability. The results showed that the five influencing factors affected learning adaptability in different ways and to different degrees, and the effects of the five influencing factors in descending order were IT application ability > resource platform > learning self-efficacy > learning motivation > teacher support.Based on the theoretical analysis and empirical findings, this thesis concludes that the development and improvement of blended learning adaptability of tourism management undergraduates are influenced by various factors, especially the individual students,full-time teachers and resource platforms play a key role.Only by actively guiding students to correctly attribute themselves, strengthen learning communication, and improve their IT application ability;strengthening teachers’ roles in guiding goals and problems, answering questions and solving problems, and monitoring feedback;and timely enriching and optimizing platform resources to realize benign activities between students and platform resources, can we better combine students’ main role, teachers’ guiding role, and platform’s guarantee role organically, and then effectively Cultivate and enhance the adaptability and learning effect of blended learning of undergraduate tourism management students in the context of information technology application, and then improve the quality of cultivation of tourism professionals.
