As a carrier of subject knowledge,textbooks have extremely important functions.At the present stage,there are some problems in the compilation of textbooks in China.Therefore,it is necessary to analyze and compare the outstanding editions of Chinese PEP and foreign textbooks.By comparing the possible problems in the compilation of textbooks in China.The characteristics of foreign textbooks are studied.Some inspirations for the preparation of chemistry textbooks in China are provided by comparing the high school chemistry textbooks of the People's Education Press with the high school chemistry textbooks of the United States.This thesis consists of four parts:in the first part,the research purpose,methods and research status at home and abroad are compared.In the second part,the content of "organic chemistry" in the Chinese and American chemistry curriculum standards are expounded.In the third part,the six aspects of the structure,arrangement,content,column design,illustrations and exercises of the content of “organic chemistry” in textbooks are compared.To find similarities and differences,the textbooks of the two countries are adopted a chapter-section structure.In the way of arrangement,Chinese textbooks adopt spiral arrangement,and US textbooks use linear arrangement.In the content,the key contents in our textbooks appear repeatedly,which is conducive to students' mastery of knowledge.The knowledge content of the US version of the textbook makes students logically clear in their minds.In the column design and illustrations,American textbooks are closer to daily life than Chinese textbooks.In the design of exercises,our textbooks focus on the examination of basic knowledge.The US version of textbooks focuses on the examination of comprehensive knowledge.This part is the research focus of this paper.The fourth part is the proposal for the compilation of our country's textbooks.Through the comparison and analysis of the third part,the knowledge of our textbooks is highly reproducible and conducive to students' understanding and application.The US version of textbooks focuses on the construction of students' thinking framework.In addition,the design of columns,illustrations and exercises in the United States is closer to daily life.By analyzing and summarizing the textbooks of the two countries,some suggestions are provided for the future compilation of textbooks in our country.
