A Study On The Localization Of Non Drug Treatment For Elderly Patients With Cognitive Disorders Involved In Social Work

The aging population in our country is constantly deepening,and the average life expectancy of the population has also entered a fast lane of growth.Chronic diseases and non communicable diseases have become the main factors affecting the health and life expectancy of the elderly.Cognitive impairment is one of the chronic diseases that the elderly population is prone to.At present,no drugs have been developed internationally that can prevent or cure cognitive disorders,and existing drugs can only alleviate symptoms.Therefore,non pharmacological treatment of cognitive disorders has become the main treatment method.This article takes the W Care Center in Wuzhou,Guangxi as the research site,and focuses on the localization of non drug treatment for cognitive disorders among elderly individuals in the institution.This article is guided by cognitive behavior theory and activity theory,and uses literature research methods to collect and organize relevant literature.Based on this,from the perspective of social work,participation observation method is used to analyze the symptoms and daily living conditions of elderly individuals with mild cognitive impairment in institutions.It is found that the elderly individuals with cognitive impairment in this institution have scientific guidance on correct understanding of cognitive impairment and cognitive abilities The need for professional training in memory.Based on previous research,the existing resources of the institution,and the needs of cognitive elderly individuals,the author selected group work to intervene in the localization of non drug treatment for cognitive disorders.A total of 6 group activities were conducted.After evaluation,the intervention in the localization of non drug treatment for cognitive disorders improved the cognitive ability of cognitive elderly individuals,achieved the group activity goals,and continued after the end of the group activity,The author also considered and analyzed the issues before and after intervention,such as the limited beneficiary group of group work,language issues during social worker intervention,weak professional strength of institutions,and the issue of adapting non drug treatment for cognitive disorders to local conditions.Considering the complexity of localizing non drug treatment for cognitive disorders,the author combined previous experience with nursing homes,schools,professional social work institutions The government has put forward some personal suggestions from four aspects,namely,to enhance the service capacity for cognitive disorders in nursing homes;In terms of schools,cultivate more professional talents;In terms of professional social work institutions,link social resources from all parties;On the government side,promote policies and provide authoritative power.Integrating multiple forces,we will jointly explore the path of localizing non drug treatment for cognitive disorders.
