Stigma seriously affects the daily life and physical and mental health of people with drug use disorders.Stigma is constructed by the society and has a certain depth and breadth. It takes a long time to disabuse the public stigma completely. In order to effectively solve the current problems, this paper proposes the development of the intervention manual from the perspective of the stigma response of patients with drug use disorders. While helping people with drug use disorders, the positive way they respond to stigma will also indirectly disabuse public stigma.Based on evidence-based practice, first of all, this study used interview method to investigate12 people with drug use disorders,in-depth study of their perceived stigma, the way to deal with stigma and its causes,so as to form a problem model. The study finds that people with drug use disorders felt stigmatized as "Chaos in life," "Very dangerous," and "Untrustworthy." People with drug use disorders often deal with the stigma in four ways: "Self-identification","Self-regulation","Tit for tat",and "Timidity".The "cognitive evaluation" and "the strength of the emotional connection" are the determinants of the specific coping style of the people with drug use disorders. When the evaluation of stigma is lower than the evaluation of coping stigma, the drug use disorders will deal with the stigma in a confrontational way. When the emotional connection is stronger, people with drug use disorders respond to stigma in a more positive way.On the basis of forming the problem model, this paper designed the intervention manual for the treatment of drug use disorders according to the related family therapy theory and cognitive behavior theory. The manual contains detailed theoretical basis, target population, activity plan, intervention evaluation, etc.Based on the project problem theory and project theory, the intervention program is mainly composed of eleven group activities and one-month internship. The group activities are mainly carried out from three aspects: cognitive mediation, emotional adjustment and emotional connection.Intervention assessment is divided into process assessment and outcome assessment.Process evaluation focuses on project completion to ensure project implementation. Results evaluation is through setting up the experimental group and the control group and conducting pre-and post-test to test the dependent factors(such as the way of copingwith stigma),which ensure the effectiveness of the project. This manual can be used by anti-drug social workers in practise to help drug use disorders cope with stigma more actively, and then integrate to society.
