In recent years,China’s attention to cultural self-confidence has continued to strengthen.The report of the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China made a major deployment of ‘promoting cultural self-confidence and self-improvement,and forging a new brilliance of socialist culture’,including the inheritance of the excellent traditional Chinese culture.To a certain extent,there are overlapping parts between local culture and traditional culture,so the protection of local culture is as important as the protection of traditional culture.The region is a fertile soil that nourishes children to grow up.It has profound spiritual connotation and is of great value to the comprehensive development of children.However,the research results of integrating local culture into kindergarten curriculum were not perfect,and there are still some problems in the practice process.Based on the above background,take Jimo culture as an example to carry out the research on the integration of local culture into kindergarten curriculum.This study selected four classes in the X kindergarten of Jimo as the research object,mainly using action research,supplemented by interviews and material analysis.It is understood that X kindergarten was currently carrying out an attempt to integrate Jimo culture into the curriculum,and has gained some experience,but there were still some imperfections: the curriculum objectives were vague and one-sided;the curriculum content was simple and limited;the form of curriculum organization was single;the evaluation of curriculum was not perfect.Based on the analysis of the existing experience and shortcomings of X kindergarten’s practice,I designed an action plan to integrate Jimo culture into X kindergarten’s curriculum,and constantly experienced four steps of planning,implementation,investigation and reflection,and adjusted the curriculum plan from the three aspects of curriculum objectives,curriculum content and curriculum implementation.Finally,three rounds of action research were carried out,which were summarized as follows: the first round of research mainly addressed the problem of the curriculum objectives were vague and one-sided;the second round of research mainly addressed the problem of the curriculum content was simple and limited and the form of curriculum organization was single;the third round of research mainly addressed the problem of the theme education activities were scattered and the lack of area activities and life activities.This research results show that integrating Jimo culture into kindergarten curriculum can increase children’s understanding of Jimo culture;deepen the interest in learning Jimo culture;the creative expression ability in Jimo culture has been improved;and sprout a sense of Jimo local belonging and identity.This research gains some experience in the objectives,content and implementation of local culture integration curriculum.In view of the research results and the reflection,this research suggests that kindergarten managers should establish local cultural resource system;create the environment with strong local cultural atmosphere;support teachers’ professional development of local culture;strengthen the connection with families and communities.Kindergarten teachers should strengthen research on the integration of local culture into curriculum theory and practice;Establishing the goal of integrating local culture into the curriculum;Improve the local cultural curriculum system of kindergartens;Innovate the way local culture is integrated into the curriculum.Parents of young children should understand,support and cooperate with kindergarten’s work in integrating local culture into the curriculum.
