An Analysis Of Being Alone Together In Social Interaction Among Strangers Of The Generation Z

Since the development of social media,it has experienced the initial stage of bringing disruptive changes to human society,and has gradually been stably integrated into the communication process of people’s daily life.In particular,the advent of stranger social software,on the one hand,meets people’s desire to talk without door,reduces the emotional pressure that modern people have nowhere to release,and is favored by young people;On the other hand,it also breaks through the limitation of language space and makes barrier free communication possible.However,relying on digital communication for a long time,the human mind is becoming increasingly empty.Shirley Turkle,an American expert in the field of computer research,described such a scene in her work "group loneliness" : in offline parties,everyone still lowers their heads and plays with their mobile phones.They are separated by invisible electronic barriers.They look together.In fact,they live in their own "bubbles",forget the real purpose of communication,and can not realize spiritual communication,This phenomenon is also called "group loneliness" by Turkle.As a concept of social psychology,group loneliness also provides a new perspective of communication theory for how social networks invade human life and widely affect and change people’s communication behavior in the current digital survival.From point to area,this paper summarizes the general law of group loneliness in stranger society,and tries to put forward the mitigation path through a small incision study on the media use of the mainstream user generation Z youth group on the stranger social platform "Soul",which focuses on lonely society.In the selection of research methods,quantitative research and qualitative research are combined,including questionnaire survey,in-depth interview,participatory observation and so on.The study found that there is still have group loneliness on the stranger social platform represented by soul,which shows the external characteristics of self performance and seeking identity,social fear and social compensation,tree hole culture and emotional catharsis,as well as the internal characteristics of short-term agreed relationship replacing long-term stable relationship,high choice friendship relationship replacing low choice fixed relationship,and superficial symbolic communication replacing face-to-face in-depth communication.This phenomenon is influenced by the characteristics of the network and the living state of individuals,and moves towards the alienation trend of group loneliness,which is not conducive to the development of individuals and society.Therefore,this paper puts forward reasonable suggestions on how to avoid the binary paradox of group loneliness and prevent the alienation of interpersonal communication.
