Graduate students as the key training object are the reserve army of China’s scientific innovation and the improvement of research ability is the key to the development of China’s scientific level.Improving the scientific research ability is an important task.At present,the training of graduate students in addition to the simple teacher teaching model,more is the tutor and graduate students on the basis of the formation of the team training model,which is also the graduate students in the learning stage more contact with the learning mode.The academic environment of the team will have an impact on the behavior of the team members.The introduction of scientific research input as an intermediary variable,the relationship between academic environment,scientific research input and graduate research ability within the university research team is discussed,which is helpful to clarify the mechanism of the team academic environment to scientific research input and scientific research ability,and then effectively improve the research ability of science graduate students.First of all,this study divides the academic environment of scientific research team into four dimensions:academic exchange environment,academic cultural environment,academic management environment and academic resource environment,and constructs the relationship model between team academic environment,scientific research input and graduate research ability,and puts forward corresponding assumptions.Secondly,taking science and engineering graduate students as the research object,the confidence and validity of the team’s academic environment,scientific research input and postgraduate scientific research power scale were tested by statistical analysis of 539 valid questionnaires obtained.Then,the study also analyzed the team academic environment,scientific input and graduate research ability by the characteristic variables of graduate students(gender,grade,tutor title,team size).Finally,the structure equation model verifies that the team’s environment has is positive to the research ability,among which academic exchange,academic culture have a positive impact on research ability and investment of science and engineering graduate students,and academic resources have no significant impact on them.Between the academic environment and the scientific research ability,the scientific research plays an intermediary role in the team academic environment on its scientific research ability is different under different team sizes.Finally,to improve the academic environment of the team,universities should set up a platform for academic exchange and enrich academic exchange activities,improve the academic management system and stimulate graduate students’ innovation.
