The implementation of ideological and political education in elective courses of table tennis in universities is an important way and means to achieve the goal of "being a sports person",and it is also necessary to strengthen moral education to achieve the goal of cultivating moral character in university sports.Against the backdrop of ideological and political education in the curriculum,the ideological and political education of table tennis elective courses in universities in Yunnan Province is still in the exploratory stage.There is still room for improvement and improvement in terms of ideological and political education materials for table tennis projects,the smoothness of course construction structure,and the integration of table tennis elective courses and ideological and political knowledge teaching.In view of this,this paper focuses its research perspective on the current implementation status of ideological and political education in table tennis elective courses in universities in Yunnan Province Integrate ideological and political materials for table tennis projects,optimize the design of the ideological and political teaching structure for table tennis courses in Yunnan Province’s universities,improve the quality of ideological and political integration teaching for table tennis elective courses in Yunnan Province’s universities,and provide theoretical reference for carrying out ideological and political teaching for table tennis elective courses in Yunnan Province’s universities.This paper uses literature review,questionnaire survey,expert interview,mathematical statistics and other research methods to investigate the ideological and political construction of table tennis optional courses in colleges and universities in Yunnan Province at the current stage: First,Yunnan Province has promoted the ideological and political development of college courses at a high level,and all the table tennis optional courses in colleges and universities have carried out ideological and political development of the courses,which is good,but there are still teachers and students in colleges and universities who do not have in-depth knowledge of the ideological and political development of table tennis optional courses Lack of clear guidance on ideological and political education in the curriculum development plan.Secondly,there is a general lack of project-specific teaching elements in the ideological and political education of table tennis elective courses in various universities in Yunnan Province.There are few teaching elements focused on table tennis diplomacy,table tennis spirit,and other aspects of table tennis ideological and political education.The teaching materials with table tennis characteristics are not prominent,and the integration of ideological and political education with sports needs to be strengthened.Thirdly,the ideological and political construction structure of table tennis elective courses in various universities in Yunnan Province is not clear,and there is a lack of systematic teaching design for ideological and political education based on the characteristics of table tennis projects.Fourthly,some table tennis teachers in the province need to improve their teaching level in ideological and political education.The collaborative teaching mechanism among various universities is not sound,the sharing level is low,and there are teaching barriers.Fifth,the objectives and content of the ideological and political education assessment in table tennis courses are not clear,and the assessment responsibilities and target settings for achieving educational results in the course are not specific.Based on the current situation of ideological and political construction of table tennis elective courses in universities in Yunnan Province,optimization and improvement measures are proposed:One is to focus on the construction of characteristic teaching materials for table tennis around the goal of educating people,specifically refining ideological and political teaching elements such as table tennis diplomacy and table tennis spirit,strengthening the combination of ideological and political education with sports teaching,and striving to achieve the "internal and external cultivation" of table tennis education.The second is to attach importance to top-level design,establish a framework for the ideological and political education of table tennis elective courses in universities in Yunnan Province,and clarify the educational responsibilities of all personnel working together,participating in the entire process,and collaborating in all aspects.The third is to strengthen the construction of the teaching staff and create a teaching team with high political quality,professional skills,and strong ideological and political abilities.Fourthly,we need to accelerate the construction of a table tennis ideological and political teaching resource library in universities in Yunnan Province,and integrate teaching material resources.And based on the local conditions of the province,fully utilize sports ideological and political teaching materials such as ethnic unity,and do a good job in table tennis ideological and political teaching.Fifth,it is necessary to clarify the assessment standards for "table tennis education",construct a scientific and accurate course evaluation,focus on refining effective teaching practices,adhere to the "typical guidance",boldly explore,fully tap into excellent table tennis ideological and political courses in the province,actively create "gold courses",and use them as examples to drive the ideological and political construction of table tennis elective courses in universities across the province to improve the quality of education,and continuously strengthen the guarantee of teaching conditions,Promote the high-quality development of ideological and political education in Yunnan Province’s table tennis
