The value and function of physical education teaching in colleges and universities have surpassed people's understanding of physical education,and has become an important way to cultivate students' quality education.The general course teaching of physical education major in colleges is not only the teaching of motor skills and techniques,but also the way to improve the humanistic literacy of students.Table tennis as a national ball,the social demand for table tennis professionals is rising.In order to meet the students' own development and social talent demand,it is imperative to reform and optimize the teaching of table tennis in colleges and universities.Based on the theory of teaching optimization,this paper uses the methods of literature,questionnaire,mathematical statistics to study the teaching status of table tennis courses in ordinary colleges and universities in Hunan province.The teaching subject of table tennis general course for physical education majors in colleges and universities is the research object,8 colleges investigated which includes Hunan Normal University,Hunan University of Technology,Jishou University,Hunan Institute of Technology,Hunan City College,Hunan First Normal College,Xiangnan College,Hengyang Normal College.The purpose of this study is to deeply understand the actual situation of table tennis general course in colleges,to analyze the problems existing in the teaching process,and to provide reference for the reform of table tennis general course with the theory of teaching optimization.The research content mainly involves teaching objectives,teaching content,teachingmethods,teaching evaluation,teaching staff,venue equipment,teachers' teaching and students' learning and etc.In the aspect of teachers' teaching:1、 In the process of table tennis teaching in 8 schools in Hunan Province,teachers pay more attention to skills than culture,and pay more attention to lessons than to lessons;2、It is found that students lack of space and equipment quality in the process of table tennis general course teaching;3、it is found that the age structure of teachers of table tennis general course in 8 schools is unbalanced and there are few new teachers to optimize;4 、 the goal of table tennis general course teaching in 8schools in Hunan Province is to cultivate students' technical skills,but for students' future employment and students' continuous learning There is not enough connection;5、 teachers choose table tennis "technology +theory" as the main teaching content,pay too much attention to the understanding of the breadth of knowledge and the content is simple in teaching practice,and lack of practical ability training of technical skills;6、 the survey found that the teaching method of teachers is single in the teaching of table tennis general course;In terms of students' learning,(1)The students don't pay attention to the general course of table tennis in ideology,their learning attitude is not correct and their interest in learning is not strong.The purpose is to complete their studies and get credits,which leads to poor teaching and learning effect.The reason lies in that teachers' teaching gives way to examinations and students' learning gives way to credits.Then the following countermeasures are put forward:In the aspect of teachers' teaching,(1)the integration of physical education courses in Colleges and universities after class,the requirements of homework after class,the emphasis on skill training and quality development,and the realization of both morality and technology.(2)The school timely updates the poor quality sports equipment to ensure the safety and reliability of sports equipment and facilities,so as to create a good teaching environment for teachers and students.(3)Try to expand the faculty from talent introduction,exchange and learning,encouraging scientific research,policy incentives and other aspects.In terms of students' learning,(1)starting from the starting point and results,increase the "threshold" for class entrance assessment and the requirements for academic completion;(2)starting from the process,strengthen the incentive force,and bring the general course into the index system of evaluation,award and excellence,promotion and research guarantee;...
