Students’ apartments in universities are not only an important place for students’ daily life and study,but also an extremely important position for ideological and political education.As the main body of apartment service education,student apartment managers play an important role in implementing the concept of "three comprehensive education" and the fundamental task of cultivating talents with all-round development of moral,intellectual,physical,aesthetic and labor.Improving the service and education ability of student apartment managers in colleges and universities is conducive to the establishment of a professional and vocational apartment manager team in colleges and universities,fully exploiting and mobilizing the implicit educational resources in colleges and universities,and better serving the growth and success of students outside of classroom learning.This study is centered on the question of "What is the capacity of student housing managers to serve and educate people? How? Why? How to do?" The study is based on five aspects,including theoretical exploration,content construction and verification,current situation research,analysis of influencing factors and study of strategies for improvement.This study constructs and verifies the content structure of service education ability of college student apartment managers through key event interview method,rooted theory method and questionnaire survey method.The study aims to understand the gap between the actual situation of the service and education ability of college student apartment managers and the education ability they should have.Based on the analysis of the factors influencing the service education ability of student apartment managers in colleges and universities,targeted countermeasures and suggestions were proposed.The study found that:(1)The connotation of service nurturing ability of college student apartment managers is comprehensive and systematic,including four dimensions: personal quality,communication and collaboration,service consciousness and service skills.Among them,service consciousness includes three main categories: student orientation,professional identity and responsibility consciousness;service skills include two main categories:basic service skills and enhanced service skills;personal quality includes two main categories: character charm and personal image;communication and collaboration includes two main categories: communication and teamwork.(2)The overall level of service and education ability of college student apartment managers is poor.Among them,service skills and communication and collaboration scored high,and service consciousness and personal quality scored low,among which service skills scored the highest.There were differences in the seven demographic variables of service nurturing ability of college student apartment managers in terms of gender,education,age,political appearance,working years,salary and income and work department affiliation.There were no differences in the variables of ethnicity and whether they were employees in the university establishment.(3)The factors affecting the ability of college student housing managers to serve and educate people include three main aspects: individual factors,organizational factors and social factors.In view of the influencing factors,the study proposes the following countermeasures: to strengthen the administrator’s main habit to stimulate the endogenous motivation to improve the nurturing ability;to improve the organizational cultivation strategy to improve the mechanism guarantee to improve the nurturing ability;to improve the cooperative driving strategy to create a good external atmosphere to improve the nurturing ability.
