| In recent years,after-school services have emerged as a solution to the "3:30problem" that has been highlighted by changes in the economic structure.As a kind of school education activity closely related to compulsory education,after-school services can help fill the gap of family education after school and promote students’ overall development.However,the academic community has paid little attention to the issue of after-school services in rural elementary school.In view of this,promoting the quality of after-school services in rural elementary school has become a research focus.Based on theories of holistic human development,collaborative education,this study uses a combination of literature research,questionnaire survey and interview research methods to conduct an in-depth study of four elementary school in D town,C city,Hebei province.In terms of questionnaires,students,teachers and parents of the four schools were used as the research subjects to grasp the basic information of the research subjects and the situation related to after-school services.On the basis of this,further interviews were conducted with some teachers and school administrators in the research schools to study the real situation of after-school services.Based on the analysis and interpretation of the research data,this study focuses on the awareness and attitude,content and methods,arrangement and implementation,management and guarantee,and evaluation and suggestions of after-school services in the region,and compares the current situation of the implementation of after-school services in the region.Based on this,the following problems of after-school services in the region were found: First,students,teachers and parents have cognitive biases;second,the degree of "curricularization" of after-school services is low,quality development courses are not yet fully covered,and the way of after-school services is static;third,there is a lack of resources for after-school services,teachers are prominent,school sites are insufficient,and there is a shortage of funds for implementation.Fourth,the after-school service related mechanism is not sound,the management mechanism is not clear,and the evaluation mechanism is not perfect.In view of the problems and causes,six strategies for optimizing after-school services are proposed: first,advocate five education together to alleviate the alienation of exam-oriented education people;second,government help to promote the real implementation of after-school services;third,improve the cognitive level of after-school services of all subjects;fourth,diversify the curriculum to meet the development needs of students;fifth,optimize the resources of after-school services to ensure the benign development of after-school services;sixth,improve the mechanism in schools and promote the high-quality development of after-school services. |
