A Study On The Employment Quality Of Graduates From W Vocational College In Hubei Province

The National Vocational Education Reform Implementation Program proposes that in the face of the severe employment situation,it is necessary to enhance the development speed of modern vocational education.Graduates from higher vocational colleges and universities are an important part of China’s high-quality skilled personnel team and an indispensable driving force for China’s high-quality economic development.According to the relevant research results,graduates from higher vocational colleges and universities are generally unable to find suitable jobs and consider that low wages,high turnover rate and low job satisfaction are always present.The employment quality of graduates from higher vocational colleges and universities has an important impact on the realization of individual life values,and will also affect the sustainable development of enterprises and vocational skills education,and even the effective operation of the whole economy.Higher vocational colleges and universities are obviously lacking in many aspects such as learning conditions,teachers’ strength,talent training and social recognition compared with ordinary undergraduate colleges and universities.In addition,the graduates of higher vocational colleges have low vocational literacy,low professional level and old-fashioned employment concept.How to optimize and improve the employment quality of graduates from higher vocational colleges and universities has become an important strategic issue for the country and society,and a major challenge for people’s livelihood.W Vocational College of Hubei Province is a provincial public higher vocational college for national enrollment,which was selected as one of the 100 universities to monitor the employment situation of graduates in 2020,and it is also the only higher vocational college among the three universities selected in Hubei Province.This paper takes Hubei W Vocational College as the entry point,systematically and comprehensively collates relevant employment data,takes the employment situation of the graduates of the college in the past three years as data samples,and systematically analyzes the employment situation of the 2019-2021 fresh graduates of the college,through the analysis results,it is found that: the employment concept of Hubei W Vocational College graduates is narrow,the rate of further education and entrepreneurship is low,the adequacy of employment opportunities is not high,and the jobs they are engaged in The problems such as the rate of professional matching need to be improved.The study shows that there are many main influencing subjects of the employment quality of graduates from Hubei W Vocational College,including the government,higher vocational institutions,employers and individual students.Based on the analysis of the problems of employment quality in this school,we suggest suggestions for further optimizing the employment quality of graduates from higher vocational colleges in terms of giving full play to the guiding role of the government,improving the implementation level of higher vocational colleges,strengthening the social responsibility of employers and changing the employment concept of graduates,so as to try to find a way out of the dilemma of employment quality of graduates from higher vocational colleges and provide experience reference and reference for higher vocational colleges in Hubei Province and even in China.It will provide experience and reference for higher education institutions in Hubei Province and even in China.
