| Taijiquan is a typical traditional sports item in our country and an important content of school physical education.In 2020,the opinions of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee and The General Office of the State Council on comprehensively strengthening and improving school physical education in the new Era clearly pointed out that schools should strengthen the cultivation of traditional sports talents,constantly innovate teaching methods and improve teaching quality.The state attaches great importance to the promotion and inheritance of traditional culture in schools.However,in the optional course of Taijiquan in colleges and universities,there are some problems such as single teaching method,low enthusiasm of students and poor learning atmosphere,which makes it difficult to meet the requirements of talent training in the new era.Experiential teaching method is an innovative teaching method based on practice and emotion.It can catch students’ eyes,stimulate their thirst for knowledge and spirit of exploration,and meet the requirements of talent training in the new era.Based on this,the purpose of this study is to use experiential teaching method to promote the improvement of students’ physical quality,sports skills,learning interest and mental health through teaching practice.This study adopted comprehensive research methods such as questionnaire survey,mathematical statistics,interview,teaching experiment and literature data.First of all,the teaching principles and characteristics of experiential teaching are deeply explored,the teaching objectives of experiential teaching in college Taijiquan courses are designed,and the teaching experiment plan is determined according to the teaching objectives.Secondly,the first two classes of students of optional Taijiquan course in Lingnan Normal University of Zhanjiang were selected for teaching experiments.Relevant evaluation indexes were selected,namely,physical fitness,Taijiquan motor skills,Taijiquan learning interest and students’ mental health,and the questionnaire of students was designed.Finally,after a semester of 16 weeks of teaching experiment,the test data of students in the two classes before and after the experiment were compared and analyzed,and the results showed that:(1)In terms of physical fitness,experiential teaching method can improve students’ physical fitness more effectively.Compared with traditional teaching method,students’ flexibility,balance and lower extremity strength are especially improved.(2)In terms of skill learning,the experimental class has a more thorough understanding and mastery of Taijiquan’s basic technical movements,and the experimental class has obviously surpassed the control class in terms of technical application and strength coordination index;(3)In terms of learning interest,participation experimental class the students are more involved in Taijiquan exercise,and are more willing to study,think and explore on their own initiative,which shows that students in the experimental class prefer to study in an experiential teaching atmosphere.(4)In terms of mental health,in the process of experiential teaching,teachers pay more attention to students ’psychological emotions when learning,pay attention to the cultivation of students ’emotional experience and aesthetic experience,which is more helpful for students to perceive their bodies,stabilize their emotions,ease their learning pressure,and enhance interpersonal communication,and is more conducive to the overall development of students’ body and mind. |
