The teaching of argumentative essay writing is the top priority of high school Chinese teaching,and due to the difficulty of composition and the high proportion of scores,argumentative essay writing often becomes a "big problem" in language teaching.At present,many scholars have researched the teaching of argumentative essay and achieved certain results,but in the actual teaching classroom,students are still "unwilling to write" and "don’t know how to write",and the teachers also face the dilemma of insufficient class time and low teaching efficiency.To improve these problems and dilemmas,we can focus on famous educators’ ideas about writing teaching.We can start from the ideas and explore their value and significance to writing teaching.As a famous educator in China,Zhang Zhigong’s educational thought has an important position in the history of language education development.He not only has outstanding achievements in teaching Chinese grammar and rhetoric,but also has made important contributions to the concept of language curriculum and reading teaching.In terms of writing teaching,Zhang Zhigong also has unique insights,and "Reading and Writing Path" as the essence of his writing ideas,is a complete collection of his important writing ideas.This paper focuses on Zhang Zhigong’s book "Reading and Writing Path",and explores the essence of his writing ideas from three dimensions: the view of writing content,the view of writing methods,and the view of writing assessment,with the aim of improving students’ writing ability.The research mainly includes the following parts.In the first chapter,on the basis of clarifying the concept of argumentative essay style and clarifying the requirements and basis of argumentative essay writing,we can further understand the current situation of teachers’ writing teaching and the problems encountered by students in writing argumentative essays through teachers’ interviews and students’ questionnaires,so as to lay the foundation for improving the efficiency of writing teaching and students’ writing ability.Chapters two to four are the main part of the article,in which the ideas of writing teaching in "Reading and Writing Path" are divided into three major parts: the view of writing content,the view of writing methods,and the view of writing assessment,and two representative teaching ideas are selected in each part.The two aspects of "writing content view" include "close to life,write true feelings" and "overall coordination,clear writing ideas",aiming to let students avoid the problems of hollow content,unclear ideas and confused logic.The "Writing Methodological View" mainly focuses on "combining with reading" and "advocating fragment writing",which are also important strategies throughout daily teaching.In the "View of Writing Review",the discussion revolves around the two aspects of "considering the words,focusing on language refinement" and "write more and correct more,improving the quality of writing",emphasizing the importance of composition review in writing teaching.In the course of these three chapters,the author also further analyzes them in the context of excellent model essays,discusses their implications for the teaching of argumentative essay writing,and follows each chapter with a specific teaching design to be transferred and applied,so as to better promote the teaching of writing.The last chapter mainly discusses the reflection of writing teaching based on the design of teaching cases,focusing on the interpretation of relevant ideas and their teaching implications,and looks forward to its broader teaching space.
