In the context of the educational reform of "new curriculum,new teaching materials and new college entrance examination",it is a challenge to effectively cultivate students’ key abilities,enhance their core literacy and implement the fundamental task of establishing moral education in high school ideology and politics classes.Applying project-based teaching to high school ideology and politics can promote a change in teaching philosophy,teaching methods,and teaching activities.In order to study the current situation of the application of project-based teaching in high school ideology and politics,this study adopts a variety of investigation methods to summarize the effectiveness and problems of the application of project-based teaching,analyze the causes of the problems from multiple perspectives,and propose strategies for the application of the subject characteristics of high school ideology and politics.This paper discusses the following four sections:Project-based teaching is a kind of teaching method which is different from issue-based teaching and problem-oriented teaching.It has the characteristics of integration of teaching design,visibility of implementation results and long-term continuous research.The application of project-based teaching in high school ideological and political courses is conducive to the implementation of curriculum standards,the promotion of core literacy and the innovation of teaching mode.This study took Qingdao 39 Middle School of Shandong Province as an example to investigate the application status of high school ideological and political course project-based teaching.Teaching observations were carried out on the same project-based lesson and students were given a controlled pre-and post-test to compare teaching effectiveness.Interviews and questionnaires were conducted between teachers and students to understand their attitudes towards project-based teaching.Based on the above investigation,this study summarizes the application effects and problems of project-style teaching of ideological and political courses in high school.Project-based teaching can activate the political classroom teaching atmosphere,broaden the public participation space of students,and promote the transformation of teachers’ teaching concepts.However,there are also some problems such as low frequency of actual implementation,large differences in student participation,strong timeliness of project situation and extensive project implementation process.The main causes of the problems are the long period of project teaching investment,unclear teacher role positioning,improper treatment of subject advantages,and lagging of the current evaluation method.In order to improve the effect of project-based teaching in high school ideological and political course.Teachers should adhere to the principles of subject core literacy,highlight the principles of political orientation,and implement the principles of student subjectivity.In the teaching design stage,the strategy is to divide the level of political literacy and formulate teaching objectives.Grasp the political core concept and put forward the project problem.Based on real social practice and create project problem situation.The strategy in the teaching implementation phase is to integrate and narrow items and integrate them into regular teaching.Create a democratic atmosphere for activities and enhance students’ effective participation.Students are encouraged to display their project results and participate in public affairs in an orderly manner.In the teaching evaluation stage,the strategy is to perfect the supporting project evaluation system and carry out comprehensive evaluation.Establish a developmental project evaluation mechanism and pay attention to long-term education.Highlight the leading role of project evaluation value and guide students to reflect in practice.
