General Secretary Xi Jinping mentioned at the National Symposium for Teachers of Ideological and Political Theory Courses that "the adolescent stage is the ’plucking and gestation period’ of life,which requires the most careful guidance and cultivation." When students enter junior high school,academic pressure increases,interpersonal relationships are complicated,and students’ physical and mental development is not yet complete.Based on the various problems in real education,life education is getting more and more attention.The ultimate goal is to stimulate students’ vitality and promote the sound development of their lives through the teaching and learning of knowledge.This course implements the concept of life education and has great potential for promoting the growth and development of students’ lives based on the characteristics of teacher-student interaction,emotional communication,and exploration that case teaching has.Therefore,case teaching is also an important grasp for implementing life education in our middle school ethics and rule of law curriculum,and it is based on this special relationship between the two that the author has conducted this study.The body of this study consists of three parts: the first part mainly includes the theoretical foundation of this study,the interpretation of the main concepts,the relationship between life education and case teaching in junior high school morality and rule of law classes,the value of case teaching in junior high school morality and rule of law classes under the perspective of life education.The second part is a survey and analysis of the current situation of morality and rule of law case teaching in junior high schools under the perspective of life education.The author uses a combination of questionnaire survey method and interview method to identify the effectiveness of case teaching organized in morality and rule of law classes in two junior high schools in County B and the problems that arise,and analyze the reasons that lead to these problems.The third part of the paper focuses on the lack of vitality in the case teaching of junior high school morality and rule of law classes,and provides new ideas for junior high school morality and rule of law classes to better carry out case teaching that cares for students’ lives from five aspects: establishing the concept of life,changing teachers’ and students’ teaching concepts,focusing on the value of life,reconstructing case teaching objectives,paying attention to the needs of life,organizing case teaching contents,highlighting the spirituality of life,optimizing the case teaching process,returning to the development of life,and carrying out case teaching evaluation.
