In the report of the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized that "Deepening the reform of the field of education...improve the mechanism for school-family-society education." Family and school are the two systems with the most profound influence on the growth of teenagers and their socialization.The family is the first school for university students to grow up and become successful,and the school is the main channel and important position for exerting educational influence and training socialist successors.The effect of ideological and political education directly affects the development of college students in their future life.The Party and the state attach great importance to these two education systems,which are related to talent training and the fate of the country.As early as 2004,it was clearly proposed that "schools should explore the establishment of a mechanism of communication with college students’ families,and cooperate with each other to conduct ideological and political education for college students".Since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,General Secretary Xi Jinping has made important instructions on family education and ideological and political education for college students for many times,emphasizing the need to "pay attention to family,family education and family style",and "integrate ideological and political work throughout the whole process of education and teaching,so as to realize whole-process education and all-round education".It can be said that the integration of the concept of home-school co-education into the ideological and political education of college students has become an inevitable requirement.As the application of home-school cooperation in colleges and universities is not yet mature and widespread,although certain achievements and effects have been achieved in long-term practice and application,a series of problems still exist,so it is all the more necessary to base on the actual situation and put forward feasible solutions with target,so as to enhance the nurturing effect of home-school cooperation in ideological and political education for college students.The article consists of five parts.The introductory part introduces the background and significance of the selected topic,the research content and methodology,the current situation and achievements of domestic and international research.The first chapter explains the relevant theories and clarifies the connotation of home-school collaboration in the ideological and political education of college students by analyzing the concepts of collaboration,collaborative education and home-school collaboration,and on the basis of which the characteristics,objectives and contents of home-school collaboration in colleges and universities are explored,and the necessity and feasibility of the study are analyzed.The second chapter is the analysis of the current situation and the explanation of the causes.Through questionnaires and interviews,the current situation of home-school cooperation in China’s colleges and universities is sorted out,and it is believed that there are mainly problems such as the concept of cooperative education is not firm,the system design is not perfect and the quality of education needs to be improved.The third chapter is about improvement ideas,which mainly elaborates the basic objectives and principles that should be followed to solve the existing problems,and identifies the main tasks to strengthen the collaboration between students’ ideological and political education at home and school,namely,strengthening the concept of collaboration,implementing the responsibilities of multiple parties,enriching the work content and innovating ways and means.The fourth chapter contains suggestions for countermeasures.Based on the successful experiences at home and abroad,the main means are to strengthen the leadership of the government,give full play to the initiative of universities,mobilize the enthusiasm of parents and form a collaborative education pattern jointly promoted by the whole society,with a view to improving the current situation of home-school collaboration in ideological and political education for college students and promoting its healthy development,so as to improve the quality of education.
