With the continuous development of China’s economy and the gradual transformation of industrial structure,skilled talents have become one of the most lacking talent types.Therefore,it is urgent to develop high level vocational education.Nowadays,using virtual reality technology to create situation has become a new trend to promote the development and reform of vocational education.However,through the investigation of the teaching status of tourism major in secondary vocational schools,it is found that there are the following practical problems in current secondary vocational classes:The school neglects teachers’ professional training and lacks advanced technical support in classroom;Teachers ignore students’ emotional experience and over-strengthen theoretical training;The teaching method of teachers is solidified and the teaching form is backward;Students lack of learning motivation,learning demand is not strong.Therefore,the study will combine the virtual situation teaching with the professional classroom of secondary vocational tourism,in order to provide improvement ideas for secondary vocational tourism teaching.The research ideas of this paper are as follows: First,the literature of virtual situation teaching at home and abroad is sorted out by literature method to lay a foundation for this study.Secondly,the questionnaire and interview outline are designed based on the maturity scale to fully investigate the current teaching situation of tourism major and analyze the feasibility and general rules of virtual situation teaching applied to practice.Third,carry out the empirical analysis,use "virtual technology + problem situational teaching method" and "virtual technology + case situational teaching method" two teaching modes to create the situation,carry out the teaching design,carry out the teaching experiment,study the teaching effect.Fourth,refer to the experimental results for data analysis.The results show that situational teaching based on virtual technology has different effects on students’ different learning dimensions,among which the significant effects are learning motivation and professional confidence,followed by language expression and thinking innovation.In terms of mastering basic theoretical knowledge,situational teaching based on virtual technology has less promoting effect than traditional teaching,and there is no significant difference in teaching effect.The improvement of students’ academic performance is largely due to their own inherent efforts.Situational teaching based on virtual technology can promote the ideal state of harmonious teacher-student relationship and democratic classroom atmosphere.Situational teaching based on virtual technology puts forward new requirements for teachers’ professional development,teachers are required to renew knowledge structure,expand comprehensive knowledge,improve scientific research ability and teaching ability,based on the concept of comprehensive development.
