The purpose of life is the key factor and core symbol of the positive development of adolescents,and the establishment of the purpose of life is the main development task of adolescents.Gratitude,therefore,is an unexpected but productive way of cultivating adolescent purpose at a critical time.This study based on the theory of positive emotions broaden the construct and gratitude the empirical research conclusion to promote the development of purpose,design a set of training purpose oriented gratitude education courses,courses with gratitude as the starting point and the way to train the students’ life purpose,as a foothold and final goal,so that the students can feel happiness,reflection from Thanksgiving,happy,In this process,it arouses students’ desire to contribute to the wider world in a personal and meaningful way,and finally leads students to think about their life purpose in this motivational state.In order to improve the level of gratitude of junior high school students through the implementation of the curriculum,and on this basis to develop the purpose of life of junior high school students.This study uses the Youth Life Purpose Scale and multidimensional Gratitude Scale to conduct a questionnaire survey on 270 grade one students of a middle school in Qingdao,and analyzes the relationship between gratitude and life purpose of junior high school students.In order to test the implementation effect of the course,a control experiment was designed between the control class and the experimental class,and an eight-week gratitude education course was implemented in the experimental class,while mental health education courses of other themes were conducted in the control class,and a post-test was conducted after the end of the course.After independent sample T test and repeated measurement variance analysis,the results showed that: in terms of groups,the scores of gratitude and life purpose of the experimental group were significantly different from those of the control group,while the scores of gratitude and life purpose of the control group were not significantly different.In terms of content,the scores of life purpose self-improvement,social influence and service dedication of the experimental group were significantly improved;The scores of gratitude total score,sense of abundance and gratitude to others were significantly improved.Therefore,this study draws the following conclusions:1.Gratitude is significantly positively correlated with life purpose.2.The design and implementation of this course can improve the gratitude level of junior high school students,and cultivate their life purpose to a certain extent,especially beyond the self-dimension of life purpose.
