Research On College Students' Gratitude Education

Gratitude education, an important item as well as a blind spot in the moral education for college students, is gradually valued in recent years for the severity of the loss of gratitude feeling among students. The target of this kind of education is to get the college students realize much of the benevolence they have received, to promote the gratitude feeling and gratitude action, to prompt them to repay others, and then to enhance the integrated qualities of the college students. This dissertation aims at probing into the reasons of loss of gratitude feeling, thereafter puts forward the countermeasures for this issue.The content falls into four sections. In the first section, an introduction about the status quo of the moral education is given from three aspects: the relationships within oneself, the relationship between man and man, and the relationship between man and circumstance. Then we will discuss the embodiments of loss in gratitude feelings and the reasons, that is, the absence of gratitude education, which needs to be solved in college. The gratitude feeling is the basic quality of a man, not only of college students.The second section is about the reasons of the loss of gratitude, it is analyzed from the following four aspects to get the idea that the loss of gratitude feeling is inevitable: the negative influence of market economy and multicultural society, the low efficiency of the education system and moral education, the erroneous educational concepts and methods of the students' parents, and the mentally immature characters of the college students.In the third section, we will explain the necessity of the gratitude education and the theories it based on. The gratitude feeling is absolutely necessary for all the college students. This part is also the matting for the fourth section, in which we put forward the disciplines and countermeasures. In short, the gratitude education requires all the ministries to work together under the direction of the education disciplines to enhance the gratitude feeling and then to promote the gratitude action.
