With the advent of the intelligent era,the development of network technology and the continuous improvement of people’s living standards.At the same time,the accelerated development of urbanization has produced a large number of "village to residence",and the elderly living in their environment are called "village to residence elderly".Under the background of intelligent era,smart phones are playing a more and more important role in people’s life and work.The urbanized living environment makes it very necessary for the elderly to master the use of commonly used smart phones.Therefore,paying attention to the needs of the elderly in the use of smart phones and taking effective measures to improve their use of smart phones are of great value to the physical and mental health,family harmony and social adaptation of the elderly in the village.S community in Qingdao is a typical village to residence community.Through literature review,questionnaire survey and interview,the author found that the problems of the elderly in the use of smart phones in the village to residence are mainly manifested in "dare not use" and "can’t use".The problems of "dare not use" mainly include low self-identity,fear and so on;"Can’t use" problems mainly include being unfamiliar with the functions of smart phones,being prone to network fraud,lack of life and business handling ability,etc.Based on the actual situation of the community,the author uses social adaptation theory,empowerment theory,social support network theory and education group to intervene to solve the smartphone use dilemma of the elderly who change their village to residence.Help them overcome fear and build confidence.At the same time,help them improve their mastery and application of intelligent technology and establish a stable social support network.After six group activities,through the quantitative and qualitative evaluation of the effectiveness of the education group’s intervention in the use of smart phones by the elderly living in the village,it is found that the education group has good results in improving their selfawareness,cultivating their learning adaptability,strengthening the mastery of basic skills and establishing good interpersonal relationships.Overall,the development of educational group activities has strong practicality of social work for the elderly,but there are also some deficiencies.Therefore,it can be improved from the following aspects: summarizing experience in time,improving the professional ability of social workers,reasonably arranging the content and duration of activities,linking multi-party resources,joint assistance and support,etc.
