Interpreting Entrepreneurial Universities: An Educational Ecology Perspectiv

Since the 1980 s,the rise of entrepreneurial universities has attracted worldwide attention,and many countries have explored the secret of success in innovation and entrepreneurship.Under the influence of the political,economic and cultural environment,entrepreneurial universities uphold the sense of innovation and pioneering spirit.Under the constraints of ethics and academic responsibilities,they realize the positive interaction between universities and the environment by expanding funding channels,building multi-social networks,adhering to the unique entrepreneurial culture and promoting the transformation of academic achievements.At present,the construction of Chinese entrepreneurial universities has not achieved ideal results,and the path dependence of university development hinders the organizational transformation to a certain extent.Therefore,the construction of entrepreneurial universities has become a topic that cannot be ignored in higher education circles.Using literature research,historical research and case study,starting from the perspective of ecology of education,taking the inheritance and variation of the subject,the stability and change of the environment,and the balance and equilibrium of the system as the framework,this paper analyzes the communication and interaction between the entrepreneurial subject and environment of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United States,the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom and the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.In order to sum up the successful experience of entrepreneurial universities.Just like the evolution of organisms,entrepreneurial universities seek to evolve through constant change.Based on its educational philosophy,MIT has established the board of directors system,cultivated innovative and entrepreneurial talents,and realized rational expansion of knowledge through expanding funding sources,strengthening exchanges and cooperation,forming entrepreneurial culture and producing academic achievements.Its development experience has provided a new idea for the transformation of higher education in the world.The University of Warwick has the courage to make breakthroughs and innovate.Adhering to the concept of "dynamic adaptation between subject and environment",it has reformed the undergraduate school and established the graduate School.It is committed to winning venture capital,building an interactive network,carrying forward the entrepreneurial culture and promoting academic development,and declaring its determination and confidence to pursue excellence to the world with practical actions.Nanyang Technological University has completed the process from model transplantation to independent construction,realized the vision from academic development to innovation and entrepreneurship,and demonstrated outstanding adaptability.The promotion of political power,the improvement of economic level and the infiltration of multi-culture jointly promote the formation of entrepreneurial universities.By obtaining funds from various sources,building social networks,adhering to entrepreneurial culture,and promoting the transformation of academic achievements,Nanyang Technological University achieves a balance of positive interaction between the subject and the environment.The construction of entrepreneurial universities is a long and gradual historical process,as well as a transmutation process in which tradition and innovation,subject and environment constantly cross and merge.Therefore,we should change the traditional concept,grasp the development opportunities,win academic reputation,carry out entrepreneurial activities,and strive to cultivate innovative talents.At the same time,starting from the actual situation,we should formulate entrepreneurship policies,establish a series of regulations,clarify the target positioning,management mode and organizational form of various colleges and universities,and strive to explore the construction mode of entrepreneurial universities with Chinese characteristics by raising venture capital,building entrepreneurial networks,forming entrepreneurial culture and transforming academic achievements.
