With the continuous development of sports in China, cheerleading operation,as a collective project, has become popular in primary and secondary schools in China.Cheerleading is divided into skill cheerleading and dance cheerleading.Flower ball cheerleading is the easiest to learn and master in dance cheerleading,so it is the most popular and representative in primary and secondary schools.Agility is an important quality in sports ability.Agility can enhance students’ ability to change movement and change direction during sports. For children aged 8-10 years, the improvement of agility can enhance their sports performance ability. This paper takes the flower ball cheerleading training as a means of sports intervention, and takes the 8-10 year old students of the High tech Peace School as the research objects.Through the methods of literature, expert interview, experiment, mathematical statistics, etc.,taking the 8-week teaching cycle as the experimental cycle, and controlling the single variable flower ball cheerleading training and Latin dance training as the experimental variable,According to the national physical and health training standards and the test contents of relevant sensitive abilities at home and abroad, the selected test contents are the cross quadrant jump, sensitivity T test method,10 m acceleration run, hexagon movement,20 s lateral repeated jump and fast foothold.By comparing the test data, this paper analyzes the influence of flower ball cheerleading exercise on improving the athletic sensitivity of 8-10 year old children. The results show that:1.After 8 weeks of flower ball cheerleading training, the members of the experimental group achieved significantly better than the control group in the six indicators of cross quadrant jump,T test,10 m acceleration run, hexagon movement,20 s lateral repeated jump and fast foothold, and there was a significant difference(P<0.05).2.After 8 weeks of flower ball cheerleading training, the results of the experimental group members in the six test items were significantly different from those before the experiment(P<0.05).3.After 8 weeks of Latin dance training, the six test items of the control group members all improved slightly, but there was no significant difference from that before the experiment. The following conclusions are drawn from the research results:1.Flower ball cheerleading training plays a significant role in improving the sports sensitivity of children and adolescents aged 8-10.2.Flower ball cheerleading training can improve children’s sports agility more than Latin dance training.3.Flower ball cheerleading can enhance the working ability of the central system of children aged 8-10 years while improving their athletic agility. The following recommendations are made:1.The training content of flower ball cheerleading should pay more attention to the improvement of children’s sports sensitivity.2.Grasp the critical period of children’s development and develop their sports agility.3.Research limitations.
