With the continuous improvement of integrated circuit processing technique and design level,the integration of chips has reached an unprecedented height,and the functions that a single chip can achieve are becoming more and more complex,which puts forward higher requirements for the functional verification of chips.However,the current development of functional verification is relatively backward,and its time consumption accounts for 70% of the chip development process,which has become the biggest factor restricting the speed of chip development.Based on the actual needs of the projects that the author participated,this paper takes the AHB-APB bridge module in the on-chip bus interconnection system as the research object,and carries out the application research on the UVM verification methodology in view of the long development cycle,poor portability,low efficiency of verification implementation and other problems of the traditional verification method platform.The main research contents of this paper are as follows:(1)Functional design of AHB-APB bridge module is completed.This module is mainly responsible for the connection and interaction between AHB bus and APB bus.This paper firstly combs its functional characteristics and interface signals,then compares the characteristics of three different bridge algorithms,and finally completes the design and implementation of this module on the basis of primecell algorithm.(2)The verification platform of AHB-APB bridge module is built.On the one hand,this verification platform is developed based on the standard framework and standard components of the UVM verification methodology.The platform is highly efficient in building,strong in maintainability,and has good horizontal and vertical reuse.On the other hand,this verification platform makes full use of the rich mechanism of UVM verification methodology to form powerful functions such as constrained random excitation generation,automatic simulation operation and coverage collection,which greatly improves the efficiency and accuracy of verification.(3)Completed the testcases design and final verification implementation.A large number of test cases are designed to cover different working scenarios of AHB-APB bridge module.These test cases are run on the established verification platform to debug the design and verification environment.After the debugging of all test cases passed,the regression test was carried out with the help of script tools and coverage was collected.Finally,the code coverage reached 98.60%,the function coverage reached 100%,and the module verification was passed.
