With the promotion of integrated circuit technique and design technology, there are more and more functions embedded in one chip.The increase of functional integration level lead to the exponential growth of verification workload, people who want to complete the chip verification in a short time becomes extemely difficult, and how to improve the verification efficiency and increase the reusability of verification platform have become two problems of the integrated circuit verification technology.This paper focuses on the emerging OVM (Open Verification Methodology) verification methodology,this verification methodology is integrated many advantages of the current mainstream verification techniques,such as transaction-based verification, coverage-driven verification and assertion-based verification technology,it can solve the current bottleneck in the development of integrated circuit verification beacause of its higher efficiecy,stronger reusability and higher verification coverage rate and so on.This paper not only to research the OVM verification methodology relationship between the components of OVC and OVC component of the enforcement mechanisms,also analyzed in-depth of OVM verification methodology of transaction-level modeling(TLM),author researched the communicaition mechanisms between TLM components as well as the production process of transaction-level data items.Author also researched the reusability of OVM verification methodology.Author used one base station R&D project as an example in this paper,and started from the specific function of one functional module of the project,and abstracted specific validation scenarios with the guidance of Open Verification Methodology,built OVM verification platform,then author verified detail functions of this module,and analyzed and summarized the verification results.The OVM verification platform in this paper not only has efficient verification,but also has highly reuseable,it is re-used to verify other similar functional modules of this project.Through the research of this paper can be found the verification technology which under the guide of Open Verification Methodology can be a feasible direction to solve the development bottleneck of integrated circuit both theory or practical application.
