As one of the technological engines of the digital economy,digitization is releasing the enormous energy to drive the industrial transformation.In recent years,our country has stepped into a new era of digitization,and the outbreak of Covid-19 has further accelerated the digitization process,with 5g,industrial internet,big data,artificial intelligence as the representative of digital,intelligent technology to promote our clothing industry all-round,all-chain transformation and upgrading.In this context,the clothing industry not only needs to face a severe external environment,but also to focus on the industry’s long-term accumulation of insufficient innovation,low-level competition.At this time,the digital transformation,which aims at flexible,intelligent and fine production,has become a new force to coordinate the resource allocation of each link of the industry chain and promote the high-quality and sustainable development of the garment industry.This paper first analyzes the present situation of the garment industry and the overall trend and motivation of the digital transformation,and expounds the mechanism of the impact of the digital transformation on the performance of the garment industry,descriptive statistics is used to evaluate the current performance of the garment industry and the changes before and after the digital transformation.Then,using the case analysis method,taking Anta Group,one of the leading enterprises in China’s garment industry,as the research object,this paper probes into the motivation and trend of its digital transformation,and analyzes the short-term performance of Anta with the event study method,select part of the traditional financial indicators from the debt-paying ability,operating ability,profitability and development ability of the four angles to analyze the enterprise’s medium-and long-term financial performance,use EVA indicators to assess changes in corporate value before and after the digitisation transition,and analyse ANTA Sports’ s non-financial performance in terms of market share,R & D Innovation,customer stickiness and brand value,finally,it summarizes the effect of digital transformation on performance.While the digital transition has certainly boosted Anta’s growth and revenue,there are still many problems to be solved,such as slow inventory turnover,insufficient marketing and lack of product innovation,this paper also puts forward some suggestions,such as strengthening inventory management,developing digital marketing means and improving product innovation ability.Anta has a long way to go in terms of high quality and sustainable development.It needs to find the missing and fill the gaps according to the actual situation of the enterprise to further expand its digital transformation advantages.Our country is the world’s largest clothing consumer country,clothing industry is the Eternal Sunrise Enterprise,it is in the national economy in the vital position,therefore,I hope this article can provide reference for other garment enterprises who are preparing or exploring digital transformation through Anta’s case,and help them find their own problems in time,finally,the garment industry to promote the sound development of the industry.
