Research On The Development Of Characteristic Agriculture In Kuandian Count

China is an agricultural country since ancient times.The party and the nation have always attached great importance to the development of agriculture.For more than a decade,the No 1 Central Document has proposed to develop agriculture,build rural areas and rich peasants with all the effort.Since the reform and opening-up policy,China’s comprehensive productivity has been continued to improve.But,due to regional and structural reasons,Chinese agricultural production has appeared a phenomenon of regional overcapacity,leading to the stagnant of price in agricultural products and slow increase of farmers’ income.The phenomenon has been appeared frequently that the agricultural production grows with no increasing in income,which shows the imperfection of agricultural production structure.we have to make full use of the unique advantages of resources,vigorously develop characteristic agriculture that always take a lead to increase the income of farmers,to speed up the development of agriculture and promote the regional economic take-off.Kuandian Manchu Autonomous County is located in Liaodong Peninsula which is the largest mountain agricultural border county in Liaoning Province.Agriculture is the economic foundation of Kuandian.That promote the development of agriculture,increase farmers’ income,and maintain the stability in this area is always an important task for the development of Kuandian economy.Kuandian is rich in natural resources,with convenient transportation,strong ethnic customs and massive cultural bedrock.In the efforts of the county party committee and government of all previous years,Kuandian has made a sufficient and reasonable use of various advantages that achieves a remarkable result in the development of characteristic agriculture industry.Now it has been formed a characteristic crop-planting with edible fungus,Chinese herbal medicine as the representatives,an aquaculture industry base on animal husbandry and freshwater fish,characteristic forestry base on economic forest and nut and fruit industry.The momentum of each characteristic agriculture industry is growing which not only improve the popularity of Kuandian,but also increase the income of farmers that have a great significance in the development of Kuandian economy and the maintenance of social stability.However,in the process of developing characteristic agriculture,we are still facing many difficulties and problems,restricting the income increase of the broad masses of peasants in Kuandian and the prosperity of the rural economy.In this paper,through the field survey,visiting the relevant departments and experts,accessing to literature,etc.,we analyzed the basic conditions for the development of characteristic agriculture in Kuandian.After studying and reviewing the current situation of characteristic agriculture in Kuandian,we excavated the advantages and disadvantages of the development of characteristic agriculture in Kuandian by using the SWOT analysis method.We thought through the opportunities and threats faced and came up with a suitable strategy for the development of characteristic agriculture in Kuandian.Combining with the successful cases in the development of domestic characteristics agricultural,we put forward opinions and suggestions for the development of characteristic agriculture in Kuandian and provided reference for the healthy,stable and sustainable development of local characteristic agriculture.
