A Study On The Development Of Characteristic Agriculture In Jinzhong City

Through20years’ reform and development, China’s agriculture and rural economy entered a new developing phase. In this phase, improving benefit of agriculture and income of peasants has become the main issue in agriculture economy domain nowadays. The Strategic adjustment of agricultural structure is an important outlet to settle the problem, while the key to the success of the strategic adjustment is whether we can utilize the superiority in resources and environment to develop characteristic agriculture. China’s entry into WTO and great west development give us new opportunity and challenge. It has great significance to develop characteristic agriculture greatly on the basis of the full use of regional comparative advantages. Therefore, the thesis establishes a subject about the development of characteristic agriculture and does researches to find a new approach to development of agriculture in Jinzhong.In section one, the thesis firstly analyses economic definition of "character". Then, it expounds the concept, character, developing models, general rules and the economic theory of the characteristic agriculture’s development. In section two, it discusses the conditions of developing characteristic agriculture in Jinzhong. It proves that developing characteristic agriculture is the most effective way to optimize the structure of the agricultural industry, to improve the competitiveness of agricultural products and to increase the income of farmers in Jinzhong in both theoretical and empirical evidence. In section three, it analyses the current’s situation of developing characteristic agriculture in Jinzhong, then it points out the problems that existing in the development of Characteristic Agriculture in Jinzhong. Finally, it expounds overall thinking, countermeasures and proposals of promoting rapid development of characteristic agriculture in Shangxi.
