With the improvement of national productivity and the gradual increase of tourism consumption ability, tourists have higher and higher requirements for the quality of tourism experience.Traffic accessibility,as an important link to tourism nodes,is a necessary condition for tourists’ tourism activities. In recent years, the development of tourist attractions in Hunan province has become more and more perfect, and the tourism industry is developing rapidly, but along with it comes the problems of traffic congestion and the dysfunction of tourism space structure.Traffic accessibility is an important manifestation of traffic and tourism flow is an important manifestation of tourism spatial structure, therefore, analyzing the degree of coupling and coordination between these two systems is far-reaching and can promote the harmonious and healthy development of tourist destinations. This study is based on theories from multiple perspectives of traffic geography and tourism geography, combining social network analysis to study the tourism flow network structure, and the traffic accessibility model to explore the development level of traffic accessibility in Hunan province. The data of tourism flow network structure and traffic accessibility are then dimensionlessly processed, and finally the coupled coordination model is applied to explore and analyze the coupled coordination relationship between tourism flow network structure and traffic accessibility in Hunan province. The results of the study are as follows.1.The overall tourism flow network in Hunan province is relatively loose, the edge and core nodes are not closely connected, the interaction is not enough, and the overall network structure shows a strong regional core.Phoenix Ancient City and Wuyi Business District are the first level tourism nodes, which are important tourism distribution centers in Hunan province and the core of the tourism flow network in Hunan province.Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon,Yueyanglou Scenic Area, etc.are the second level tourism nodes, which are regional core nodes and are in a favorable position in the tourism flow network.Changsha Xiangjiang River Scenic Area,Charming Xiangxi Grand Theatre and other tourism nodes are the third level tourism nodes, which belong to the regional general tourism nodes. And Dongting Lake,Baofeng Lake and other tourism nodes are the fourth level tourism nodes, which belong to the edge tourism nodes.2.Hunan province traffic accessibility also has a strong regional core, the overall presentation of the Changsha city circle as the core of tourism, and has obvious core edge characteristics.According to the calculation result of accessibility value, the accessibility of tourist attractions in Changsha City, the capital of Hunan province,is good;the accessibility of tourist attractions in western and southwestern Hunan province is poor;the accessibility of tourist attractions in Xiangtan City around Changsha City and Yueyang City and Hengyang City on Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed railway line is moderate.3.In the study of coupling between tourism network structure and traffic accessibility,75.7% of scenic spots are at high level coupling stage,in general, the tourism flow network structure and traffic accessibility in Hunan province are cooperating and constraining each other, and the coupling interaction is obvious. However, there is still some misalignment between tourism flow network structure and traffic accessibility in Hunan province.
