| At present,the world is experiencing the fourth industrial revolution represented by digital economy.The decision adopted at the Fourth Plenary Session of the 19 th CPC Central Committee determines the data as a new factor of production into the social production value distribution.In 2021,the white paper on the development of China’s digital economy(hereinafter referred to as the "digital white paper")issued by the Chinese Academy of information and communications clearly calculated that China’s industrial digitization accounted for more than 80% of the digital economy.It can be seen that industrial digitization is the main force of digital economy.Today,China’s economy is transitioning from the previous stage of high-speed growth to the stage of high-quality development.Therefore,the manufacturing industry should also comply with the national strategy and transform to high-end manufacturing industry.In this context,how industrial digitization can help the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry has become a topic that we should study.At the same time,the emergence of industrial digitization has changed the traditional way of resource allocation,alleviated the resource mismatch and optimized the resource allocation to a certain extent,and the resource allocation is an important factor affecting the production development of manufacturing industry.Therefore,it is also the meaning of the topic to study the mediating effect of resource allocation in the impact of industrial digitization on the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry.According to this basic understanding,this thesis tries to theoretically analyze the logical relationship between industrial digitization,resource allocation and transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry.Firstly,this thesis analyzes the direct path of industrial digitization acting on the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry,and then divides the resource allocation into capital allocation and labor allocation according to Cobb-Douglas production function and the actual industrial development.From these two mediating paths,this thesis discusses how industrial digitization indirectly affects the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry through the allocation of capital and labor force.Finally,digital industrialization is introduced to investigate the nonlinear impact of industrial digitization on the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry.On this basis,this thesis selects the annual panel data of 30 provinces from 2013 to 2019 to build a two-way fixed effect model,mediation effect model and threshold effect model to empirically test the impact of industrial digitization on the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry.The empirical study found that industrial digitization has a positive impact on the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry.The allocation of capital and labor force has played a mediating effect,that is,industrial digitization promotes the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry by correcting the mismatch between capital and labor,optimizing the allocation of resources.Under the regulation of digital industrialization,industrial digitization plays a more obvious role in promoting the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry.From the perspective of regional heterogeneity,the impact of industrial digitization on the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry is more prominent in the central and western regions,and weaker in the East.Industrial digitization in the eastern region promotes the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry by optimizing the allocation of capital and labor force,while the central and western regions promote the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry by optimizing the allocation of labor force.According to the research conclusions,this thesis puts forward the following policy suggestions: first,vigorously promote the coordinated development of industrial digitization and digital industrialization.Second,give full play to the optimization effect of industrial digitization on resource allocation.Third,focus on the implementation of regional differential development and coordinated development policies.The innovation of this paper is that it enriches the relevant empirical research of industrial digitization.Bring industrial digitization,resource allocation and manufacturing transformation and upgrading into the same research framework to test the impact of industrial digitization on manufacturing transformation and upgrading through resource allocation;This thesis explores the nonlinear impact of industrial digitization on the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry under the regulation of digital industrialization. |
