Research On Government Supervision Problems And Countermeasures Of Express Delivery Industry In Foshan

With the rapid development of the Internet and e-commerce,the courier service is in great demand,and China’s courier industry has thus achieved rapid development for many years.The courier industry not only serves people’s livelihood,but also boosts consumption and promotes employment,and has become an important part of the national economy.In recent years,although the courier industry has made great achievements,but there is still an imbalance between the growing need for better courier services and the quality of industry development,for example,the loss and destruction of express,personal information leakage,sending dangerous goods and other problems still exist,seriously harming the development of the industry and consumer rights,and many development blockages still need to be dredged urgently.These reflect the lack of government regulation of the express industry,and there is an urgent need to improve government regulation in many aspects,so as to regulate the development of the industry and improve the quality of development of the express industry.In this paper,the government regulation of the express delivery industry in Foshan is taken as a case from the perspective of government regulation.Firstly,by reviewing the literature,the concepts of express industry and government regulation are explained,the research results of current academic research on government regulation of express industry are summarized,then the information and data obtained from interviews are combined to analyze the current situation and problems of government regulation of express industry in Foshan,explore the reasons and propose countermeasures for improvement.After research,the problems in government regulation of the express delivery industry in Foshan include: a single regulatory approach,inadequate support of laws and regulations,weakness of regulatory bodies,and lack of implementation of some regulatory functions,and analyze the reasons for the above problems: backward regulatory concept,lagging legislative basis,unsound setting of regulatory agencies,and unclear division of powers and responsibilities between functional departments.Finally,combined with the current situation of government supervision of the courier industry in Foshan,problems and reasons for analysis,put forward four countermeasures: change the regulatory concept,enrich the regulatory means;improve the basis of the rule of law,strengthen the system construction;optimize the institutional settings,enrich the regulatory force;clear division of responsibilities,enhance regulatory cooperation.
