Research On Farmers’ Quality And Safety Production Behavior And Its Effect Evaluation

The quality and safety of agricultural products are directly related to the health of every consumer.With the continuous improvement of material living standards,the market demand for green organic agricultural products has become more and more vigorous,and people have begun to pursue higher quality health and safety on the basis of satisfying food and clothing.The production of quality and safety of agricultural products is to meet the needs of the consumer market,and as a direct producer of agricultural products,the production behavior of farmers will directly affect the quality and safety of agricultural products,study the influencing factors of farmers’ quality and safety production behavior,as well as the increase and income increase effect of farmers’ quality and safety production behavior,which is conducive to the targeted promotion of quality and safety production technology,and effectively improve the yield and income of agricultural products.Based on the behavior theory,structure-behavior-performance theory and agricultural treadmill theory of farmers,based on the micro-data of 793 vegetable growers obtained in Shouguang,Shandong Province,this paper studies the quality and safety production behavior of farmers,their influencing factors and the effects of increasing production and income.From the three aspects of fertilization,medication and technology,8 specific behaviors were selected as the characterization index of farmers’ quality and safety production behavior,and the twostage model of Heckman was used to eliminate the selectivity bias of the sample by calculating the inverse Mills ratio brought in,and the two factors of information acquisition and government policy were selected from the subjective and objective aspects to study the decision-making and degree impact of the quality and safety production behavior of farmers,and the endogenous conversion regression model was used,and the effectiveness cognition of the quality and safety production behavior of the farmer was selected as the identification variable.Empirically tests the yield increase effect and income increase effect of farmers adopting quality and safe production behavior,and accordingly,puts forward countermeasures and suggestions on how to promote farmers to adopt quality and safe production behavior to increase production and income.The results show that: First,vegetable growers have insufficient implementation of quality and safety production behaviors,and the proportion of sample farmers who only take 1 and 2actions accounts for about 60% of the total sample;Second,factors such as connecting broadband,actively using information equipment to search for agricultural information,and receiving quality testing and medication guidance have different degrees of positive impact on the decision-making and degree of farmers’ quality and safety production behaviors by reducing the cost of factor inputs;Third,the adoption of quality and safety production behavior by farmers has a significant effect on increasing vegetable yields,and the adoption of quality and safety production behaviors can increase the average yield of vegetables per mu by 15.54%,and if farmers who do not take quality and safety production behaviors change their decisions,they can increase their average yield per mu by 13.18%.;Fourth,the adoption of quality and safety production behavior by farmers has a significant effect on increasing income,and the adoption of quality and safety production behavior can increase the average yield of vegetables by 23.73%,and if farmers who do not take quality and safe production behavior change their decision-making,they can increase their average income per mu by 15.09%.Accordingly,the following four policy suggestions are put forward: First,strengthen the top-level design and improve the promotion system of quality and safety production technology for farmers;Second,promote publicity and education,and improve farmers’ awareness of quality and safety production;Third,rational use of network information and broaden the channels of technical learning;Fourth,strengthen government regulation and control to ensure the safety of agricultural products.In this way,we will promote farmers to adopt quality and safety production behaviors and help farmers increase production and income.
