A Research On The Interaction Effect And The Coordinated Development Of Agricultural Production Efficiency And Agricultural Economic Growth

Agriculture is the foundation of national economy,and the growth of agricultural economy has important strategic significance for the development of national economy.Since the reform and opening up,China’s agricultural economy has made remarkable achievements,but it also faces many problems.For example,China’s fragmented agricultural production mode and long-term extensive operation accumulated structural contradictions,resulting in excessive consumption of resources,low production efficiency,agricultural economic growth slowed down,these problems seriously hinder the healthy and sustainable development of China’s agricultural economy.In this context,China’s agriculture should be committed to intensive development,focusing on improving agricultural production efficiency,reducing production costs,and improving agricultural benefits.This paper firstly reviewed the relevant literature on agricultural production efficiency and agricultural economic growth,and at the theoretical level,based on the new economic growth theory,the transformation of traditional agriculture theory,agricultural sustainable development theory and other basic theories,revealed the interaction mechanism of agricultural production efficiency and agricultural economic growth;Secondly,the total sown area of crops,employees of agriculture,forestry,animal husbandry and fishery,the amount of fertilizer application and the total power of agricultural machinery were selected as input indexes,and the total output value of agriculture,forestry,animal husbandry and fishery was selected as output indexes to construct the agricultural production efficiency evaluation index system.On this basis,the agricultural production efficiency values of 30 provinces in China were measured.Thirdly,the panel vector autoregressive model is used to analyze the interaction between agricultural production efficiency and agricultural economic growth.Finally,the coupling coordination degree model is used to evaluate the coupling coordination relationship between agricultural production efficiency and agricultural economic growth.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)During the survey period,agricultural production efficiency in most provinces of China showed a trend of steady increase.According to the super-efficiency SBM measurement results,the average annual growth rate of agricultural production efficiency in most provinces of China is higher than the national average,indicating that agricultural production efficiency in most provinces is steadily improving.By province,except for 10 provinces such as Beijing and Zhejiang,the average agricultural production efficiency of other provinces is lower than the national average level,and there is a big difference in agricultural production efficiency among provinces.From the perspective of the trend,the agricultural production efficiency fluctuated between 0.442 and 0.533 during the survey period,indicating that the overall level of agricultural production efficiency in China was low and stable.In terms of regional distribution,the agricultural production efficiency in eastern China is higher,while that in central China and western China is lower,with obvious differences between regions.(2)The panel vector autoregressive model is used to analyze the interaction between agricultural production efficiency and agricultural economic growth,and the conclusions are as follows: From the GMM estimation results,both agricultural production efficiency and agricultural economic growth have a positive impact on itself,especially agricultural production efficiency has a more significant impact on itself;The results of pulse analysis show that there is an interaction between agricultural production efficiency and agricultural economic growth.The improvement of agricultural production efficiency has a significant promoting effect on agricultural economic growth,and agricultural economic growth is also conducive to the improvement of agricultural production efficiency.According to the results of variance analysis,the interaction between agricultural production efficiency and agricultural economic growth is significant,but the impact of agricultural production efficiency impact on the change of agricultural economic growth is greater than that of agricultural economic growth impact on agricultural production efficiency,and the interaction between the two is asymmetric.(3)The coupling coordination degree model was used to evaluate the coupling coordination development relationship between agricultural production efficiency and agricultural economic growth.The conclusions were as follows: From the time series characteristics,the coupling coordination level of agricultural production efficiency and agricultural economic growth in all provinces of China increased to varying degrees,and the overall level was in the moderate coordination stage;In terms of spatial characteristics,there are regional differences in the level of coupling coordination between the two,and their distribution characteristics show a trend of high in the east,low in the west and middle in the middle.
