| Under the situation of COVID-19’s economic development is grim. For the survival and development of enterprises, managers have higher requirements and expectations for employees’ work engagement. However, employees’ work involvement will be affected by many factors, such as individual, family and working environment. How to improve employees’ work engagement has become the focus of managers and researchers. However, scholars pay more attention to the field of work rather than the field of employees themselves or families.A small number of researches in the field of family also pay more attention to the gain of family to work, and less focus on the negative spillover of negative life events to the field of work. For example, negative life events will occupy employees’ individual resources and keep individuals in a negative state for a long time, which further affects individuals’work investment. There is a research gap. Therefore, based on the resource conservation theory, this study takes negative life events as the independent variable and job engagement as the dependent variable, analyzes the process mechanism between the two through the intermediary variable of recovery experience, and takes physical exercise as the regulating variable to explore its impact on the relationship between negative life events and recovery experience. This study takes enterprise employees as the research object, uses the questionnaire survey method to conduct a random survey, and a total of 382 valid questionnaires are collected.Statistical software SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 24.0 were used to analyze the data. The results showed that:(1)There is a significant negative correlation between employees’negative life events and job engagement.(2)Employees’ negative life events negatively affect psychological detachment, relaxation experience, mastery experience and control experience.(3)Psychological detachment, relaxation experience, mastery experience and control experience play a partial intermediary role between employees’ negative life events and work engagement.(4)Physical exercise negatively regulates the relationship between negative life events and psychological detachment, relaxation experience and mastery experience. This research explored and verified the negative impact on job engagement of employees after encountering negative life events, and verified the intermediary role of recovery experience and the regulatory role of physical exercise through the empirical results, enriching the research in related fields. The results of the study are helpful for the employees to correctly respond to negative life events, reduce negative spillover to the work field, and ensure their work commitment; At the same time,it is also conducive to the healthy growth of enterprises and employees through more reasonable work modes such as mandatory leave and flexible work system. |
