| Entering the new stage of development,innovation has become the driving force to the high-quality development of regional economy.As the gathering place of advanced factors of production,urban agglomeration is the vital carrier of regional innovation research.Beibu Gulf Urban Agglomeration occupies an important location of the belt and Road Initiative,the construction of the upgraded version of China-Asean Free Trade Area and the construction of GuangdongHong Kong-Macao Bay.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the regional innovation system and innovation network structure characteristics of Beibu Gulf.This paper takes Beibu Gulf Urban Agglomeration as the research area.Based on the existing theory,this paper carries out research by using the statistical data from 2017 to 2019.The entropy TOPSIS method and coupling coordination degree model are used to comprehensively evaluate the regional innovation system.The characteristics of regional innovation network in Beibu Gulf are analyzed by using modified gravity model and social network analysis method.Ridge regression model is used to explore the correlation between innovation network centrality and system coupling coordination.The study found that:(1)On the whole,the coupling coordination level of Beibu Gulf is low,and its coupling degree is much higher than coupling coordination degree.Nanning is in the state of excellent coordination,followed by Zhanjiang and Maoming,Danzhou and Chongzuo have the worst coordination level,Yangjiang and Yulin are at the average level,and Haikou’s coordination level is steadily rising.(2)The whole network density of the regional innovation network of Beibu Gulf increases gradually,and the network tends to converge to the center.Except Maoming,the innovation network centrality of other cities shows a positive trend of improvement on the whole,and all the indicators of network centrality show "Matthew effect".The network has a significant core-edge structure.Nanning,Zhanjiang and Maoming are always in the core area of the network,while Danzhou,Chongzuo,Qinzhou,Fangchenggang and Yangjiang are always in the edge area.Core cities have the advantage of gathering innovation resources but are weak in radiating innovation to surrounding cities.(3)The degree centricity,Eigenvector centricity,Closeness centricity and Betweenness centricity of urban nodes in Beibu Gulf innovation network are significantly correlated with the coupling coordination degree of its innovation system.In the innovation network,the space effect of innovation around the city,the distance between the city and the network core,and the degree of the city in the hub of the network also affect the degree of the city’s innovation coupling coordination. |
