| Tourism host and guest communication promotes the most primitive emotion in interpersonal communication to gradually stimulate and spread in the tourism field.The border areas are rich in natural resources and strong ethnic customs,attracting countless tourists with their charming scenery and unique charm,while the traditional and nontraditional security problems have caused the concerns of tourists in the level of tourism security.Emotional interaction and information flow between the hosts and guests in the border areas can help to ease the fear emotions and improve the psychological evaluation of the security situation of tourists in the border areas.In view of this,this paper takes the emotional appeal derived from the process of host and guest interaction as the starting point and foothold,explore the impact of the emotional cohesion and emotional response generated during the interaction between tourists and residents on the psychological perception and evaluation of tourists’ security status in the border areas.Based on the theory of emotional solidarity,intergroup contact theory and symbolic interaction theory,this paper tries to construct a theoretical model of emotional solidarity between hosts and guests,hospitality of residents and tourists’ perceived safety in border areas.The study take Dongxing border in Guangxi as the case site,tourists who visiting and have visited Dongxing border were taken as the survey object and conducted the pre-survey form of the questionnaire.On this basis,a formal questionnaire survey was conducted.The obtained first-hand data was quantitatively analyzed with the help of SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 17.0.The research results are as follows:(1)Emotional solidarity as a second-order factor structure consists of three dimensions of feeling welcomed,emotional closeness and sympathetic understanding,the respective standardized coefficients are obtained are 0.986,0.861 and 0.978,among which feeling welcomed has the greatest impact on emotional solidarity.(2)Emotional solidarity significantly positively affects tourists’ perceived safety,among which the effect of emotional solidarity directly acting on tourists ’safety perception is 0.801,the effect of indirectly affecting the safety perception of tourists through resident hospitality is 0.012,and the total effect of emotional solidarity on tourists’ safety perception is 0.813.(3)In the three dimensions of emotional solidarity,emotional closeness has a significant negative impact on tourists’ perceived safety,standardized path coefficient is-0.194;sympathetic understanding significantly positively affects tourists’ perceived safety,standardized path coefficient is 0.774;feeling welcomed impact is not significant.(4)Emotional solidarity as a second-order factor structure significantly positively affected the hospitality of residents,with a standardized path coefficient of 0.054.In the three dimensions of emotional solidarity,feeling welcomed and sympathetic understanding has significant positive impact on hospitality of residents,feeling welcomed has more impact on hospitality of resident than sympathetic understanding.(5)Emotional solidarity will affect the tourists’ perceived safety through hospitality of residents,residents’ hospitality plays a partial intermediary role between emotional solidarity and tourists’ perceived safety.Through theoretical analysis and empirical test,this paper reveals the influence path of emotional solidarity between hosts and tourists in border areas on tourists’ perceived safety,confirmed healthy and positive emotional relationship between tourists and residents helps to eliminates the resistance and uneasiness caused by tourists to the past negative events in border areas,and enhances the tourists’ positive assessment of the tourism security environment at the Dongxing border.The practical strategies are put forward from enhancing the emotional solidarity of the host and guest and guaranteeing the security of the border tourism environment to ensure the orderly development of the tourism industry and the peace and stability of the social border life. |
