| After decades of development, the economic ties between countries in the world have reached an unprecedented level of closeness. As a new trade channel,cross-border ecommerce has achieved remarkable results and greatly promoted trade between countries around the world. How to make agricultural products take the express train of cross-border ecommerce, cultivate new kinetic energy of agricultural products exports, and reduce the trade deficit of agricultural products, has become a new topic of foreign trade research of agricultural products under the new situation. The research is based on the local area and selects 33 countries that have close trade relations with China’s agricultural products.Taking 2010-2019 as the research period.Based on the theory of trade facilitation, transaction cost and economies of scale, based on the crossborder e-commerce transaction links.Nine secondary indicators are selected from the three levels of network development level, customs clearance efficiency and logistics efficiency to construct an indicator system to measure the development level of a country’s cross-border ecommerce. On this basis, the principal component analysis method is used to measure the development of cross-border e-commerce index, and introduced it into the stochastic frontier gravity model as a core variable to empirically analyze the efficiency and potential of crossborder e-commerce export trade of agricultural products. The results show that the development of cross-border e-commerce in the sample countries is relatively unbalanced, and the gap between countries is large.Per capita GDP and population of both sides of the trade, whether the two countries use a common language, the level of cross-border e-commerce development of the importing country, the degree of economic freedom, the degree of dependence on foreign trade, the degree of financial freedom, whether a free trade agreement has been signed with them, all have a significant impact at the amount of cross-border e-commerce exports of agricultural products. And the distance between the two countries has a significant negative impact on the cross-border ecommerce export of agricultural products. The efficiency of cross-border e-commerce export trade of agricultural products with the Middle East,Africa, and European countries is low,and the potential value is large;the trade efficiency of cross-border e-commerce export of agricultural products with Japan and the United States is relatively high. Finally, according to the empirical research results, taking the development level of crossborder e-commerce as the starting point,it puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions on how to improve the export trade potential of cross-border e-commerce of agricultural products, including improving infrastructure construction, strengthening professional talents and promoting free trade zones. |
